The Real MVP - Westbrook

Russell Westbrook was named the 2016/2017 NBA MVP and as an OKC Thunder fan I could not be more excited.  The past few years I've had the pleasure serving Thanksgiving meals alongside Westbrook and his WhyNot Foundation, to families at the OKC boys and girls club.  It's event I look forward to every year.  We serve over 600 people/year. Seeing every child's excitement as they are served mashed potatoes by the MVP is magic to your eyes!  (Westbrook will only serve mashed potatoes and his brother does the stuffing)  Looking back at my blog I can't believe I haven't posted these through the years.  Definitely memories I don't want to forget!

Lake Time

We had a fun Saturday afternoon on the lake boating, swimming, soaking in the sun and hanging with fun people.  The kids had a blast!  Of course Jackson was a daredevil and couldn't get enough of tubing.  He wanted to go faster every time.  All three loved swimming around in the lake which I thought was impressive.  When the goggles go on it means serious swimming business!  Thanks Griffins for a fun afternoon!

 The cutest lake kids around!

Continental Family Picnic

We had so much fun celebrating Continental's 50th birthday at the Continental County Fair.  I have been wanting to check out the Wheeler District ever since the ferris wheel made the trip from Santa Monica to OKC.  This was the perfect excuse and it didn't disappoint!  Such a fun and new area for OKC.  Can't wait to see it grow over the years!  Family fun night success!

silly pic . . .

These kiddos loved the view from the ferris wheel!  Downtown is so cool to their little eyes!

Harper really did enjoy the ride although her face would suggest otherwise!

Touch a Truck

For years I have been wanting to take the kids to Edmond's Touch a Truck and this year the timing finally worked out.  We had a great time exploring all the different trucks on display.  The kids could sit in the front seat of every truck and give the horn a loud honk.  This was a kids dream!!!

Parent Getaway

School let out for the summer and Tyler and I snuck away for a little trip to Mexico with some of our most favorite neighbors.  It was a much needed break from the hustle and bustle of work, school and spring sports.  We had the best time relaxing, sipping drinks poolside, eating fabulous food, hanging with our friends, dancing the nights away and most importantly having some fun grown up time.  We could not ask for better and more fun neighbors!  We hit the jackpot!

We tested out a brand new hotel in Riveria Maya called Hotel Unico.  Such a good choice.  We pampered ourselves for 3 days of perfection!
