Wedding Weekend

Congratulations to the newlyweds Charlie and Tyson Carroll.  We had so much fun celebrating with the beautiful bride and groom!  The Beta boys are now all married with fabulous wives!

Pick Your Battles

I have learned to pick my battles with the twins and this was one I wasn't fighting!  Who doesn't get hot after mowing in the summer heat????  The kid LOVES to mow!

All American Weekend

Between fireworks, BBQs and parades, Tyler and I squeezed in some other all American 4th of July activities . . . a little lake time and a lot of country music!

Mimi came into town for the weekend and was our designated babysitter while Tyler and I enjoyed some fun in the sun.

First off, a quick trip to the lake with Steph and Matt.  With living only a few miles from the lake we can squeeze most of our lake time in during the twins' naps.

While Tyler fished, Steph and I floated around the lake.  We didn't want to drift far so we anchored down with the ski rope.

Then Saturday morning we made our first trip to the Edmond Farmer's Market.  Miss Harper was in heaven carrying her basket she filled with peaches.  I'm sure her little arm was sore the next day bc her basket definitely wasn't light by the end of our trip.

Then Tyler and I were off to Norman for Toby Keith's tornado relief concert!  Of course we kicked off our Norman visit with a trip to 747.  We had to make sure we were fully hydrated for a day in the 100 degree weather :)  And a trip to 747 always turns into a fun reunion with old friends.

Garth Brooks kicked off the concert with the most amazing hour of country music EVER!  Tyler said he can now die a happy man.
So strange to see this stadium full of colors other than Crimson and Cream

Another amazing weekend!  I am definitely living for the weekends these days!  Count down is on until the next.

Exploring

Jackson and Harper explored the science museum this past Friday.  We definitely picked the perfect day to go.  It was cooler outside so most people opted for the zoo which left the science museum empty.  Season passes will definitely be in our future.

The water area was a hit but we ended up soaked!

Sister even gave her new fish friend a kiss before we left . . .

I love that the twins are now at an age where we can do fun things with them!  I'm sure I will be dragging them all around town from here on out :)

Perfect 4th!

I could not have asked for a better 4th of July!  This is definitely becoming one of my favorite holidays.  This year we were all about starting our annual family 4th traditions.

We kicked off the festivities with the first annual Bella Terra block party with our favorite neighbors.  We seriously have the most amazing neighbors.  And J&H are so lucky to have some of their best friends live just a block away.

Future BF/GF????

Lots of food, friends and fireworks!
After hours of fireworks it was clean up time.  For some reason it cracked me up that we were all outside sweeping the streets, in the dark, using a truck's headlights as a flashlight, after midnight.

After a fun July 3rd evening, we were up bright and early for the Edmond 4th of July parade.

Of course we had to decorate our double wide for the occasion

After the parade we relaxed in the pool for the afternoon.  Over two hours of naps for the babies and adult swim in the pool.  Then baby time . . .

And after a full day of 4th festivities we watched the sunset and fireworks from our backyard. Great way to end a perfect day!

We pulled our lawn chairs to the back of the yard, turned on Pandora, and watched the fireworks all around us until after midnight!  Perk of living in the country!

Happy 4th of July!  We are truly blessed to be living the American dream!
