Final Summer Days

This summer has been BUSY but so fun.  We are starting our final countdown to the end of summer.  School is about to start and cooler weather is hopefully not far behind.  After wrapping up our July full of vacations we have been enjoying a slower paced August.

As always, these three are looking cuter and bigger than ever!
It has been HOT so we are squeezing in some time outdoors late in the evening, hiding in the shade on our driveway.  These kids need to be outside burning energy!
Ever since tennis camp J has been insisting we practice tennis on a nightly basis . . .

M wants to do everything his big brother and sister do, even if that means taking a little break!
These firemen made our kids day by giving them a quick tour in the grocery store parking lot!

We have had lots of floatie races in the pool to stay cool . . .
We were entertained for hours hiding in a box . . .

We celebrated daddy's bday . . .
We smoothly transitioned M out of his crib and into J's room on a big boy bed!
J learned how to tackle the dinner dishes!  He is such a willing helper . . .

The kids made a lunch visit downtown . . .

But most importantly, these three have been playing so well together lately!

So sad to see summer come to an end but so excited to see the kids new school chapter begin!

Celebration of Life

This past weekend we made a trip to the California to celebrate the life of Grandpa Winslow.  He was definitely smiling all weekend while watching all the family fun from up above.  Such a great weekend with all the Winslow's!  Lots of laughs, reminiscing, making new memories, hugs and QT with some truly amazing family members.  It was the twins second time to the bay area and it was Mason's first but they felt right at home.  The family embraced them and made their weekend so much fun! As we were boarding the plane to head home J&H both said they wanted to stay because if they left they would miss their family so much!  Agreed little ones, until next time!

Love this big family of mine!  Grandpa and Grandma Winslow definitely left behind quite a legacy!
Grandpa Winslow you will be missed!

The Winslow kids . . . where this big happy family all began!
The celebration continued with swimming and fun!

And continued into Saturday with a trip to the Giants game.  When you have such a large family, that likes to have fun, a party bus is the only way to go!
J and his new BFF, thank you Karyn for taking such good care of little man.  You won him over!

bustin out the Giants champagne for this fun occasion!

J hit a home run in the kids ballpark!  Another highlight of his weekend!

We finished the day/night with more fun!  Swimming, games, catching up, great food and drinks, airplane watching and lots of laughs!
Could not have asked for a better trip!

Happy 4th of July

Celebrating the 4th of July is by far one of my favorite times of the year.  We always kick off the festivities with our annual BT block party.  Something I look forward to all year long.  With all the negative going on in the world, it was so refreshing watching all our kids run around freely, adults mingling and fireworks popping.  Our neighborhood is seriously the place I dreamed of raising kids.  A little slice of heaven!

More frosting and sprinkles than cookie!

Mase wasn't too sure about the fireworks this year.  Granted we were directly under them so they were extremely loud!
Every once in awhile he wanted to take a little peek

After a few hours of firework popping these dads had quite the mess to sweep up.  They have it down to an art though and had it all swept up in minutes!
J&H were so close to making it in the bath after a long fun night.  They needed a little rest first!
The next morning we drove out to Great Grandpa Jack's for a little swimming and lunch

Mase was lovin the holiday weekend just as much as his momma!
This year was a little different, after two days of celebrating at home we packed up and headed down to Dallas.  We celebrated the 4th and Plano before catching our flights for a mini vacay in Cancun!

Tyler and I snuck out for a quick round of golf!  Shot my first birdie!
We went to the Plano 4th of July parade.  Definitely no Edmond parade but it was still fun for the kids.  Candy and firetrucks is all they need to consider a parade successful!
