Christmas Carol

Tyler and I made it a tradition to see Lyric Theatre's Christmas Carol every holiday season.  We are going on 5+ years and just introduced the kids to this tradition last year!  Due to Covid, live theatre was basically non-existent this year EXCEPT for The Christmas Carol.  Lyric Theatre moved their performances outdoors, created new sets, and made necessary changes so the show could go on!  So thankful and couldn't imagine missing it!  Tyler was under the weather so me, the kids, Nana and Grandpa bundled up and enjoyed the show!

Such a cool setting at Harm Homestead.  We walked from scene to scene with the characters.
Comfys and masks kept us so warm on a chilly night!

Afterwards we headed to Scissortail park to check out the light show at the newly renovated train station.

And we couldn't pass up pictures on the Scissortail bridge.  I sure do love our city!

BT Christmas

The kids had a blast at Christmas in Bella Terra!  Kids Christmas events were limited this year with Covid so I was more than happy to plan a neighborhood event for the kids to enjoy!  Santa, hot chocolate, Christmas crafts and a service project made for a Sunday funday!

Santa made a visit and took socially distanced pictures with the kids!

The kids wrote their Christmas lists and sent them off to the North Pole!
They had the best time packaging toiletry care packs for the Homeless Alliance.  They got to make Christmas cards to include, spreading cheer to those that need it most!

Gingerbread Houses

The kids favorite thing Tripp, their North Pole Elf,  brings every year is gingerbread houses!  They count down from the day he arrives until gingerbread decorating night!  He never disappoints and always brings SO much candy, including plenty for eating!!!  Sugar is the way to the Miller kids hearts!  We had the perfect evening of PJs and candy!

Finished products!

Annual Progressive Party

Despite Covid and the push for no holiday gatherings, the 3rd annual progressive party continued on! This year the party looked a little different but it was still a blast!  We still had our three house rotation (cocktails/musician, sit down dinner and DJ/dancing) but we tried to utilize outdoor space more, which was challenging with it being DECEMBER!  We also naturally had fewer guests which gave us the opportunity to have a more intimate party!  We have been around our neighborhood friends throughout the entire pandemic so there was so reason not to celebrate the holidays with them as well!

The Miller house was the 2nd house of the party and we hosted a sit down Italian dinner.  We turned our back patio into a festive dining experience! It turned out beautiful and actually stayed pretty warm considering a big snow storm was blowing in!

Our amazing neighbors made this awesome champagne wall for the party!  So festive and fun!

Especially thankful for these neighbors this year!  A year of being at home was so much more fun with this crew!
These girls sure know how to throw a party!
So glad we pulled off another fun progressive party!  We all needed it this year more than ever!

Family Pictures

Family pictures were a struggle this year, but when are they not?!?!?  We had to reschedule multiple times this year, once for Covid exposure and once for the crazy October ice storm!  We also had absolutely nothing to wear in our pictures.  Lets be real, the kids and I hadn't worn jeans, dress shirts/dresses or shoes other than tennis shoes the entire year!  And to have makeup and hair done in the same day has also been few and far between!   We threw ourselves together and I couldn't be more happy with how our pictures turned out!  This was the first year we included Sadie.  We realized throughout 2020 that Sadie is the glue that holds our family together!  Her tail is always wagging and she is always so loving, regardless of the craziness of 2020!  She was also the most cooperative in our pictures!

I sure love this beautiful family of mine!
