Portland

Over Memorial Day weekend 7 couples from our neighborhood took a much needed weekend trip to Portland, Oregon.  It fell at the perfect time, right when I needed a little break from all the hustle and bustle of the end of school year and constant sports!  Oregon is such a beautiful and fun place!  We spend two days in Williamette Valley (McMinnville) wine tasting and two days in Portland.  Weather was perfect, 70 degree highs and no rain!

Our flight arrived in Portland at 10:00 am so we wasted no time getting to the wineries.  We were sipping wine by 1:00!  First Stop DePonte Cellars!

Such beautiful views of the valley!
Next up Archery Summit!
We started our first full day with a trip to the Oregon coast.  It was an hour drive from McMinnville and totally worth it.  The drive was beautiful and the ocean views were so different than others I have seen.

The three of us hiked, basically crawled, up a HUGE sand dune to see full circle views of the coastline.

Those three little specs at the bottom are the husbands, so steep!

After the hike we deserved to start wine tasting again.  We had a driver take us to three wineries on our second day!
I could have sat in these chairs all day with this view!

Day three we drove back to Portland to explore the city.  Portland is a foodie city with more breweries than any other city in the US.  So we basically ate and drank our way through town.

Such a fun trip with great people!  Portland is definitely a place I would love to visit again!
