We just got back from a week vacation at our happy place, K-Kauai. We had the best week with our family and friends while soaking up the love of Christ into our hearts. We came home refreshed, hearts full and ready to make waves in our community.
K-Kauai is a vacation with a purpose that keeps giving year round! It has the perfect mix of family time, adult time and devotional time. The kids had the best counselors that loved them and taught them so much about God's word. The adults had an incredible speaker, Stuart Makinson. We had the best quality time with the kids with ZERO distractions. We made LOTS of memories and had a ton of fun! I can't say enough amazing things about spending a week at K-Kauai. Best money spent!
Once we arrived on the island, the kids were in bathing suits and ready to swim!
The first night's theme was an aloha party, luWOW.
Loved the view watching the kids soak in the counselors opening performance, which was an Aladdin theme!
We were so lucky to go to Kamp with some of our closest friends. Made kamp even sweeter!
And the kids were off to meet their counselors for the week!
About to be launched down the zipline!
We spent the afternoon on the lower fields doing archery, slip n'slide, kayaking, sports, etcMason already has his Christmas list together and for months a kayak has been his #1 request. This kid was in Heaven paddling up and down Lake Taneycomo.
After a full day, we were off to the Blue Carpet awards!
Love these baseball boys and love that us parents all had the same costume idea!
The next day we were off to Table Rock Lake for a day on the water tubing and bluff jumping. The most beautiful lake and we were one of the few boats on the lake.
Mason was so timid in the beginning but ended up doing some "no hands" tricks
Jackson was all thumbs up which is the sign for faster!
Mr. photogenic Mason does it again! His cute self can't take a bad picture!
I foresee this sassy face a lot in my future
After a day on the lake, we threw on our knight costumes to celebrate "Making Waves for the King's Arrival"
The kids are dying to go to K-Kountry on their own so we toured kamp and they are now even more excited for next summer!
When you visit K-Kountry you get to do the Slaunch! So much fun but I have never felt so disoriented when launching off the bottom into the water. I did at least one full flip!
While there we made sure to find another baseball buddy!
Our last evening at Kamp was the Kauai 500
Our team made a race car out of a cardboard box and raced other teams. There were multiple laps involving kids, adults, spinning, going backwards, water, etc. SO much fun! Our car came in 2nd in our heat. We missed 1st by a split second.
After the races we had a big hillbilly hoedown!
The week was full of lots of other fun! After the morning speaker, the adults always had a fun optional activity, like nerf gun fights, war ball and sand volleyball. Such a blast doing activities that you never get to do and boy did they get intense!
Two late nights, the dads played the counselors in basketball. The dads creamed the counselors both nights.
The parents also got a date night out. We chose Top of the Rock for great food and incredible views!
Love this group of ladies all from Edmond! Amazing how all our lives cross paths back home and we all ended up at the same term of kamp!
Lots of other random fun at kamp! Kids sure love the putt putt and spend any free second either at putt putt or the arcade!
Had to hit up the lower field fun on our last afternoon!
Everyday afternoon consisted of ice cream at the pool!
love these three!
So proud of Harper making it to the top of the rock wall! She spent hours climbing.Mason doesn't let too many people into his inner circle but he let Cooper in quickly. These two were besties for the week. Can't wait to see these two play together at their older brother's ballgames this fall!
Sums these two up perfectly!
And the older brothers became even better friends through the week. Love our sports friends! These two cool dudes sure were funny in all the skits!
Many of our meals consisted of a kids table and adult table. Towards the end of the week it turned into a boys table, girls table and multiple adult tables :)
Doing kamp with friends is so much sweeter!
The kids spent every morning with their small groups. They sure did love their counselors.
These kids were exhausted after their fun filled week at kamp! Quiet drive home after they crashed so quickly!
Can't imagine our summers without a week of kamp. Such much fun but also so good for our hearts and souls!
