Pumpkin Carving

Today was the perfect day for a little pumpkin carving.

We had a little helper named Maddie!

We discovered that she likes pumpkin!
We see you eating that pumpkin . . .
Soaking up the sun (of course Maddie is guarding a little piece of pumpkin)

4D ultrasound

This past Friday we had a 3D/4D ultrasound.  I was so excited to see Jackson and Harper and their cute facial features.  It is truly amazing how much detail you can see in these ultrasounds.  I feel like we already have a good idea of how precious the twins are going to be, not that we had any doubt!!!  Harper was a little camera shy and didn't want to cooperate.  I think she wants to make her grand entrance in January and doesn't want to give away too many sneak peeks of her cuteness before then.  Jackson on the other hand was all about the ultrasound.

This is Jackson with sisters elbow in his face.  I am absolutely in love with his cute little nose and lips.
Jackson was posing in this picture with his hand under this chin

Now that's enough pics for today . . . sisters turn
And here is Miss Harper . . . we were able to capture a few pics of her sweet face.

But most of the pictures ended up with her hands covering her face.  At least all five fingers are counted for on this hand.

And here are both of the twins.  It's amazing just how tight they already are.
As you can tell from all the twin posts Tyler and I are beyond excited for their arrival and we are already completely in LOVE with these two!!!

Fabulous Myriad Gardens

Saturday was the official grand opening of the newly renovated Myriad Gardens in downtown Oklahoma City.  If you live in the area you must check out the new gardens.  They are absolutely beautiful!!!  Thanks to Devon, the opening was kicked off with Festival on the Green, an all day event with a farmer's market, pumpkin patch, bands, special treats at the dog park, etc.

Tyler and I made two trips to Festival on the Green, once in the morning with the dogs and then later in the evening for the Pat Green concert.  The weather was perfect so we took advantage of it.  I was a little nervous bringing the dogs with the amount of people and other dogs.  I dressed them both in their OU gear, usually Maddie is much calmer with clothing on.  I think it worked!  They were both perfect angels.  This was their first visit to a doggie park and they loved it!

All the playing wore this little one out!
Scoping out the other dogs

The new Devon building . . . Tyler and I should be moving in sometime next Spring!

Shade, yes please!

Second trip of the day!  Back for one of our favs Pat Green!
the Beta boys!
And the ladies plus little lady Madelyn
hmmmmm, where did those beers come from???
Such a natural!
All in all we had a fantastic day at the gardens.  I can't wait to bring Jackson and Harper next year.  There is a kids area that I know they will LOVE!

OU/TX Weekend

OU/TX weekend never disappoints!  This year was a little different since I was pregnant but it was still fun as always.  With a low key Friday night, unlike years in the past, Tyler and I woke up bright and early Saturday morning feeling great and ready for the game!!!  And what a game it was, 55-17!  Jackson and Harper were leading their own Boomer Sooner chants throughout the game.  They were kicking and cheering the entire time!

We kicked off the weekend having dinner Friday night with the Chio ladies and their spouses/significant others.

Family pic before heading to the fair

 Boomer and Sooner, love them!

Pure domination!
Now that we are back home, grocery shopping is done and laundry is in progress, I plan on laying on the couch the rest of the afternoon for some much needed rest!

23 Weeks

Let the doctor’s appointments begin . . . we had a doctor’s appointment on Monday, an ultrasound Wednesday and we will now be visiting the Dr. every two weeks!  The twins looked and sounded great this week.  All of their major organs are developing according to schedule and their size is right on track.  It was a HUGE relief to hear they are healthy so far!  We will continue to pray for the twins’ health and development.

We had a little scare during our ultrasound . . . I passed out about 5 mins into it.  All I remember was looking at Tyler and saying that I wasn’t feeling good.  The next thing I know there was a Dr. and a couple of nurses in my face asking me my name, where I was and what day it was.  Very scary considering I have never passed out in my entire life.  Since I had been laying on my back for the ultrasound, the twins were resting on a major artery running down my back which in turn cut off my blood flow.  Luckily this happened at the doctor’s office and not while I was sleeping at home.  I’m already sleeping with a pregnancy pillow to keep me on my side at night but I will probably start propping pillows on the other side to keep me from turning.  The babies and I had a little pep talk about working together, if mom doesn’t have blood flow then they won’t either – we are a team J Here are some pictures from the ultrasound.

Definitely a boy . . .

    And definitely a girl . . .

Jackson's profile pic, I'm already loving his sweet little nose!

Harper's profile pic, she was constantly squirming around so it was difficult to get a clear picture.  She is definitely our mover and shaker!

The twinnie bump is growing . . .

23 Week Update:

Twins Size:  Jackson is 1 lb. 5 oz and Harper is 1 lb. 4 oz. – they are growing equally which is great news

Weight Gain:  16 lbs, the Dr. said I should expect to gain around 50 lbs so I’m not even half way there, very hard to believe

Maternity Clothes:  Tyler has found me in the closet almost every evening this week trying on pre-pregnancy tops.  Unfortunately there are only a select few that still fit!

Cravings:  I’m definitely developing a sweet tooth

Room Update:  The bedding has been ordered.  I’m so happy to have that checked off the list.  Now I get to wait 6 weeks for it to arrive.  I have noticed that there is a lot of waiting during pregnancy which is horrible because you are so eager for everything!
