8 Months

Another month has flown by and the twins are now 8 months old.  With how quickly time is flying I need to start planning their 1st bday!  Who am I kidding, I started planning a month ago.

Miss Harper, you have changed so much this past month!  You are constantly chatting and blowing raspberries.  You LOVE to say dada and it brings a smile to your daddy’s face every time.  You definitely have him wrapped around your little finger.  You are also rolling over constantly, not just while playing but also while getting your diaper changed, in the bathtub, etc.  You are so close to crawling.  I bet you will be on the go any day now.  You have such a big personality that we are completely in love with!

Weight: approximately 22 lbs
Clothes:  6-9 months, size 3 diapers
Food:  4 bottles a day (5 oz each and 8 oz before bed) and 3 meals in between.
Likes:  saying dada, Sophie, your puppies, mirrors, outdoors, bath time (you are a little daredevil in the bathtub.  You roll over constantly, stick your head under water and you have just started to pull up into a standing position along the side)
Sleep:  roughly 10-11 hours at night and 2 two hour naps during the day.  It is amazing how quickly you fall asleep when we tuck you in.  It’s usually within a minute that you are sound asleep.  In the morning, if you wake up a little early you have learned to turn your mobile on all by yourself.  You will usually watch one round, which is around 20 mins, and then fall back asleep.

Bubba, you are so full of life!  You struggled a lot this month with being sick but overall you were such a trooper!  You still continue to laugh and giggle so much.  We have discovered that you are super ticklish especially on your belly and your inner thighs.  You continue to babble all the time however you haven’t said any real words.  I’m working with you on saying mama first J  You are starting to like being on your tummy much more.  Although we think your sister will be crawling first you could easily surprise us with the way you squirm around.  We love you little man!

Weight: approximately 20 lbs 8 oz
Clothes: 6-9 months, size 3 diapers
Food:  4 bottles a day (5 oz each and 8 oz before bed) and 3 meals in between.  We can’t shovel food into your mouth fast enough!
Likes:  your feet entertain you constantly, any teething toy, bath time, outdoors, jumping (it’s amazing how happy jumping makes you!), standing along the couch
Sleep:  roughly 10-11 hours at night and 2 two hour naps during the day.  You have started to sleep on your belly and you are loving it!

Hey bubba, I need to tell you a secret!

Family Tailgating :)

Jackson and Harper experienced their first OU game day in Norman this past Saturday.  Although we didn't go to the game they experienced game day festivities with a walk around campus and a couple hours of tailgating.  The weather was absolutely perfect, temps around 80 with a breeze so we were all enjoying a day outside!  Jackson and Harper loved all the action at the tailgates.  Although they only took about a 5 minute afternoon nap they still were able to tailgate like champs.

Sister's fingers taste way better than mine!

Ready for their first tailgate!

Cheers!

Harper wanted her own red solo cup!

So happy to see auntie Amanda!

Aunt Lady was double fisting!

The twins will be making their TV debut on the Coach's show Sunday night!  We have the DVR set.

What's game day without a trip to the Chio house!

Little Van Gogh's

Here are the some of the twinnies latest masterpieces!  They paint at daycare at least 2-3 times a week and according to their teachers they love it.  They say Harper analyzes her fingers every movement and Jackson is carefree.  I wouldn't expect anything different.  Needless to say I have finger paint and paper ready at home for a weekend art project!

Seriously how cute is the horse made from a footprint!

Special Visitor

The twins had a special visitor over Labor Day weekend.  Their great Aunt Donna flew all the way from California to meet Jackson and Harper.  We all had a great time with Aunt Donna!  It truly means a lot to us that she came to visit.  Hopefully we can make a trip out to California soon so the twins can meet the rest of the Winslow family.  Glad she got a taste of two teething 8 month olds :)

Group shot!  Nana and Grandpa were also special visitors for the weekend.

The girls snuck away for a little wine tasting.
