Happy Thanksgiving

We had a very happy Thanksgiving!  We kicked off our Thanksgiving with our annual Bella Terra Thanksgiving Day parade!  This is becoming one of our favorite traditions of the year!

We had to build our Christmas tree golf cart float at Grandpa and Nana's house due to its size!  And when it was finished it just barely rolled out of their shop without clipping the top!

Lots of staples and zip ties used getting this tree assembled!
Three proud Miller kids ready to show off their float!  It was a windy morning so our tree was moving but those zip ties and staples held on!

Our neighbors once again out did themselves and made this parade a HUGE hit!!!

I didn't get any other pictures from Thanksgiving but it was a great day full of family, food and friends!

We love following Thanksgiving up by ringing the Salvation Army bells at Sams on black Friday!  Its the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season by raising money for such a great cause!  It always amazes me how generous shoppers are when they see families/kids ringing the bells!

Harper and Mason dressed the part and all the kids loved it!

My ears were ringing for days but it was so worth it!  Love teaching our kids how they can help in the community!

Gaylord Texas Christmas

Jackson's soccer team played in a tournament in Dallas the weekend before Thanksgiving.  Since the kids were out of school for the week we decided to stay an extra night and head to the Gaylord Texas for their Christmas festivities!  We definitely left in the Christmas spirit!

Majority of the weekend we spent watching these boys play some amazing soccer!  They faced the toughest competition they've seen so far but they battled hard.  They lost in bracket play to a very good team from NYC!   So proud of this team and especially proud of J!

Christmas cheer was just what J needed after a hard fought game so off to the Gaylord we went!

Ice skating was at the top of everyone's must do list!

We had even more fun because a soccer family joined the fun!

Every kid (and dads dream) to push all the elevator buttons like in Elf!
A snowball fight in Central Park was a hit as well!
Round 2 of ice skating!

We couldn't drive back without a stop at Buc-ee's!  First timers and no one left empty handed!

FNL Football

Both boys had a fun fall season of Friday Night Lights football!  We love our Friday evenings under the lights watching the boys play!  Jackson's team battled it out through the playoffs and finished in 2nd place out of 40 teams!  They lost a hard fought and super close championship game!  They are an impressive team to watch!  Mason played this season with his baseball friends.  They weren't the best team but Mason loved every minute of it so it was a successful season!  Although there is no kicking at their age, Mason has developed a huge love for being a kicker!  We will see how that pans out in the future but as of now he spends hours every day practicing!

Striper Fishing

Somethings are worth skipping school for and a day of striper fishing on Lake Texahoma is one of those things!  Tyler surprised Mason with a guided striper fishing tour on Lake Texahoma on a Friday.  Some of our good neighbor friends (Stan and Wyatt) joined the day trip.  They woke up at 3am to drive down, fished for 4 hours, and drove home!  The fish were biting big time and they all easily caught their limit of 10 fish!  Can't wait for our fish fry!  Mason smiled for days!  They both decided this will be an annual trip (and Jackson will definitely be joining next year).

Early fishing means you get to catch the beautiful sunrise over the lake!
