Happy Mother's Day to Me

Happy Mother's Day to me and all the amazing moms in our lives!  Like every weekend, Mother's Day weekend was full of ballgames!  I wouldn't have it any other way though!  Not only did I get to see the boys do what they love but I got to spend the weekend with some of my favorite moms.  I can't imagine weekends without these ladies!

We kicked off Mother's Day weekend  in Bella Terra with a special morning for the moms complete with mimosas, a flower truck and breakfast!  Jackson was already off to baseball but I got to spend some extra time with H&M!

The Raptors dads spoiled the moms with a fun morning tailgate!  No better way to kick off actual Mother's Day than with mimosas, roses and breakfast burritos!  These dads and Raptors sure know the way to my heart!
Love this tailgating crew!

I sadly had to miss Jackson's game and hanging out with the Braves moms while I cheered on Mason!  Love these ladies so much!
Jackson's soccer team wore pink socks to show their love for the moms!  I think they all ran a little faster in their pink!

J's soccer team won the championship but sadly he had to miss for a baseball conflict!
So many sports and so many amazing moms to spend the weekend with!

5M Sports

Tyler and I have always wanted to open a sports facility.  We spend lots of time and money carting all three kids to different facilities around the metro!  They are all so expensive and always so booked!  We also both have a passion for sports and developing kids.  We had put our name on a few different lists for warehouse space back in 2020.  Mid January we got a call that a warehouse was becoming available on February 1st so we bit the bullet and signed a one year lease!  Although we had talked about this for years, actually doing it was way out of our comfort zone!  We got our keys on February 1st and 5M Sports was a dream that became a reality!

The warehouse space was used to build and repair racecars for the previous 10+ years.  So the space was dirty, greasy and down right gross.  We got right to work and recruited some friends and family to help paint, power wash, etc.

We set our opening date as March 1st to give us one month to get the facility prepped and equipment installed.  With a big snow storm in the forecast our opening date was bumped up to ______.  We put in lots of hours and late late nights to get 5M ready for all our ballplayers and we DID IT!!!!

First time we looked at the space!  We instantly saw lots of potential and couldn't wait to take this journey as a family!

The kids loved painting!  I loved it for the first day but after the third full day I was exhausted!
We rolled and rolled and rolled!
A family that paints together, has fun doing it together, will have a successful business!  Not sure why I was wearing a white pullover to paint, bad idea!

Before the turf was installed 5M became a rip-sticking skate park!  It was the perfect flat space for the kids to learn how to ride their Christmas presents!  Even better it gave us a place to let out some energy during the cold!

The kids couldn't' wait to get into the first cage that was installed!
Outside 5M is a pretty steep hill so when it snowed we put in some work and then went sledding!
First time testing out the cages after everything was installed!  Can't believe we made the turnaround in 2 weeks and had a fully operational business!  It was a busy two weeks but we did it!

First team practice at 5M was Mason's Raptors team.  Love having a place for these boys to get extra swings in!

We were so excited to open the doors to teams and individual players!  Our sports families are so important to us and we look forward to growing our sports family to include all our 5M teams!

Adult Weekend - Florida

An adult trip was long overdue!  We love traveling with our kids but we sure love traveling without them as well.  After a year and a half of Covid life we were due for some adult time away!  A friends family has a house in Grayton Beach, Florida and they invited the Raptors coaches and wives for a weekend getaway!  We didn't think twice before saying yes!

Thankfully our kids have amazing grandparents that held the fort down while we were gone!  Mimi and Papa were on Jackson duty and boy did he keep them busy.  He had a football game, baseball tournament in Choctaw and a soccer tournament in Wichita, Kansas.  Nana and Grandpa kept Mason and Harper in Edmond and were on dog duty as well.  Definitely takes a village to fill in while we are gone and we are SO thankful for our village!

Our first afternoon we took a 6 hour deep sea fishing trip out of Destin.  The last time I went deep sea fishing was on our honeymoon and I said I would never do it again.  15 years later I gave it a 2nd shot and still never want to do it again!  We went 30 miles off the coast and I think that was about 29 miles too far.  Unfortunately I got sea sick and then slept the next 5 hrs.  None of the wives felt fabulous and we all slept majority of the trip!  But the boys had the best time and reeled in lots of fish!

First double catch of the day!

The girls woke up just in time to catch the sun setting!

We took our fish to a restaurant on the pier and they cooked all our fish and it was fabulous!  I don't love fish but I loved our dinner!
Can't beat breakfast with a view!

Such a fun weekend getaway with a great group of friends!  We never realize how much we need a "break" until we get away!  We sure missed the kids and all their activities but it was so good for our souls!
