Thanksgiving

We had a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving; 3 beautiful and healthy kids, amazing family and friends, a house and neighborhood that we love and so much more.  Another successful and fun Thanksgiving in the books!  We loved having Nana and Grandpa visiting and celebrating with us!

We had FIVE days at home with our little munchkins and I am already dreading dropping them off at school tomorrow morning.  We loved our mornings/afternoons in our PJs!

Unfortunately I don't have a single picture from Thanksgiving.  We were too busy cooking and feasting!  The next morning the girls enjoyed post Thanksgiving pedicures!
Friday night we headed downtown for Hideway and the river boat parade.  I just can't get enough of this sweet little boy!

Along the way we made an impromptu stop at Bass Pro to visit the main man himself.  We are one child short in this pic!  Harper talked a big game while waiting in line but in the end she wanted nothing to do with seeing Santa.  So it is a boys pic, and a super cute one at that!

Saturday evening we had our annual adults night out with dinner at the Ranch followed by the Christmas Carol.  Something I always look forward to.  It isn't often we get an uninterrupted adult conversation with the family.

And today we spent being LAZY!  We did some yard work in the morning but once the cold front blew into town we snuggled in our sleeping bags and watched Christmas movies!

First Snow

Last Sunday we enjoyed our first snow of the season.  It was so nice coming home from Boston to snow which meant we got to spend the entire day indoors cozied up with our favorite little ones in our PJs ALL DAY!  And to top it off we had a fire going from 9 am to 9 pm.  Perfect day!

Jackson braved the cold to help Tyler get fire wood!  Such a good and adorable helper!

Harper found a whole new stash of "princess dresses" in my pantry!  I bake in them and she twirls in them :)
And all three kids played so good together!  Melts my heart to watch.
Now I'm ready for a week day snow day!

Happy 7 Months

Today it has been snowing and bitterly cold ALL day so Mason celebrated 7 months in his pjs, as did the rest of the family!

7 months of perfection!  You still LOVE your brother and sister, you are obsessed with our dog Maddie, you love to eat, pull hair, play, roll all over and are wanting to crawl so badly!  I can't believe you are one month closer to turning one.  Time slow down pretty please!

Boston

Tyler and I just returned from a fun weekend getaway in Boston.  We try to make at least one away OU football game or a Thunder game every year.  We had never been to Boston, so seeing the Thunder play the Celtics was the perfect excuse to visit the city!  Just our luck, three days after we booked our trip Durant got hurt and then Westbrook went down shortly after.  We were still more than happy to cheer on our ailing Thunder while exploring a new city!

We just happened to stop by the Ritz where the Thunder were staying for a few pre game drinks and lucky us we found the team!  Not planned at all ;)  A picture with Durant and a convo with Westbrook was the highlight of my trip!

I will treasure this picture FOREVER!  Thank you KD!

My Uncle Stephen surprised us by showing up at the game!  Great to see him!

Boston was absolutely beautiful with all the leaves changing colors!  Unfortunately I only had my iphone so the pictures don't do it justice!

The duck tour gave us an amazing tour of Boston and a great refresher on American history!

The second most photographed street in the US, Acorn Street.
We stumbled across some of my Winslow ancestors in this old cemetery.  It brought me back to the all the genealogy projects I did in high school!
Tyler and I loved Boston and we loved our time together!  We even saw a movie during the day, that never happens!  Although we had a great time, we were more than ready to get home to the kiddos.  I missed them so much!  Thank you Mimi for watching the kids and taking such good care of them!

Halloween 2014

Life keeps getting more and more fun and exhausting!  This Halloween season (it's no longer just a night) has been a blast but Tyler and I are officially worn out.  I was so happy to toss the kiddos Halloween costumes in the trash and call this year a success!!!

The week leading up to Halloween kicked off with a trip to Story Book Forest!

Then the Chio house had their first annual alumni trick or treating!  We couldn't miss an excuse to head to Norman for a fun night with my sisters!  I'm definitely looking forward to this tradition for years to come!

And we weren't stopping there . . . Thursday our work had a trick or treating event for the kids.  We always love bringing the kids to work and showing them off to all our co-workers!  I think they had more fun looking out the windows and coloring on our office marker boards than getting candy!

We also squeezed in Wacky Week at school, a little wine tasting with friends, family pictures and seeing the Grinch Broadway Show with my sister!

And then there was Halloween night . . . luckily the kids were still excited to wear their costumes and of course they were ready for more candy!  Halloween is always such a fun night in our neighborhood.  We have the best neighbors and the best times together!  Halloween might be a night for the kids but these parents enjoyed a little pre and after party :)

A neighborhood with hills calls for a trailer ride.  We wouldn't want these kids to work too hard for their candy :)

It was definitely a fun week filled with family, friends and sugar highs!  Tonight I'm resting up and gearing up for the crazy holiday season.
