Nursery Debut

I can officially say the nursery is complete!  I think Jackson and Harper are going to love their room.  Tyler and I have spent a lot of time making the nursery absolutely perfect for the twins.  They deserve the best!  I love sitting in the rocker imagining what life will be like in just a few short weeks.  Now we are patiently waiting for the twins to make their debut!

Jackson and Harper, we love you and can't wait to finally meet you two!

Christmas at Home

Tyler and I had a wonderful Christmas weekend at home.  Definitely a change for us since we are usually traveling over the holidays but we enjoyed every minute at home.  We kicked off the holiday weekend with dinner at the Ranch and the Christmas Carol on Friday night.  A much needed date night before Jackson and Harper's arrival.  I think we found a new Christmas tradition.  I would definitely recommend seeing the Christmas Carol at the Lyric Theatre to anyone living in OKC!

On Christmas Eve, we volunteered at the Red Andrews Christmas Dinner setting up and preparing for the annual dinner.  Another first but a tradition I would LOVE to continue.  Steph and I were professional toy organizers.  Take a look at this stuffed animal display.

Then we headed home and started to prepare our Italian feast for Christmas Eve dinner.  I was so excited to use my Christmas dishes!  It's the little things in life that make me so happy :)
Then off to church.  My Christmas Eve outfit definitely brought out the best of the twins.

Christmas morning in our PJs
Looks like we all had a good Christmas! Before . . . .
After . . . .
Steph, aka Khloe, loving her new leopard onesie!  I thought the twins would be the only ones getting onesies this Christmas, wrong!!!
Poor Bailey is being attacked by Stephs footed onesie!
Maddie soaking in all of Christmas
Post Christmas dinner, nap time
What a perfect way to end Christmas day by going to the Thunder season opener against the Magic.  So thankful the lockout is over.  The twins already love the Thunder.  They are very active at the games!  I think they have the OKC and Thunder Up chants down!

I'm already looking forward to Christmas next year!  I can't wait to see the excitement in Jackson and Harper's eyes throughout the holiday season.  Only 364 more days :)

Tyler and I have had a productive day after Christmas.  All our decorations and lights are back in the attic.  Now we can focus 100% on the twins arrival.  Bring it on, we can't wait to meet our little ones!

34 Weeks!!!

I can’t believe we are already at 34 weeks!  With the holidays approaching, preparing for the twins arrival and the normal day to day activities time is flying by.  I am trying to squeeze in as many things as possible these last few weeks knowing that my time will be extremely limited in the near future.  I have been enjoying lots of QT with the hubby, lunch and dinner with friends, Thunder games and of course a little pampering with mani/pedis.  Up to this point I haven’t slowed down much.  Tyler is waiting for the day that I want to rest and relax, but I don’t foresee that happening.

With the arrival of the twins quickly approaching, we have been put on house arrest for the holidays.  I’m definitely not complaining!  Tyler and I are looking forward to spending our first Christmas at home.  We have loaded up the weekend with plenty of fun things such as dinner at the Ranch (YUMMMMM) and the Christmas Carol play Friday night, we are volunteering at the Red Andrews Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve before heading to church, and of course the Thunder game on Christmas.  My family will be in town so we will have plenty of company and good food to enjoy.

Now for the most important part, the 34 week twinnie update .  . .

We are now going in for weekly doctor’s appointments and stress tests. This week we also had an ultrasound.  Tyler and I couldn’t ask for a more perfect Christmas gift than knowing that Jackson and Harper are healthy and happy.  Our Dr. is aiming for a delivery around January 10th.  That would put us past the 36 week mark which is when the babies lungs are fully developed.  If we can make it to at least the 10th the twins should come home with us immediately.  I have no doubt they will stay nice and snug until the 10th.  They were looking pretty cozy during the ultrasound!  This weekend we will be installing the carseats and packing my bag just in case they make any early arrival.

Twins Size:  Jackson is 4 lbs. 11 oz and Harper is 4 lb. 10 oz. – the ultrasound tech said that although they were measuring these sizes they are probably closer to 4 lbs

Twins Heart Rates:  Jackson 138 bpm and Harper 133 bpm – during the stress tests we get to monitor the twins heart rates to make sure that as they move their heart rates increase.  We get to hear their little heartbeats for about an hour each week.

Cravings:  definitely sweets!  And I’m starting to crave a glass of wine.  I think all the Christmas parties brought on this craving.

Room Update:  The nursery is almost complete!  I hope to post pics within the next week.  I think Jackson and Harper are going to LOVE their room.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Parties

This past week was definitely the week to have a Christmas party!  Tyler and I had a busy week hopping from party to party.  We are definitely in the Christmas spirit now.  Last night we topped off our week with the Devon Christmas party.  Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures during all the festivities.  Here are the few I snapped from the Devon party.

Annual picture with the Perkins, 5 years and counting.
Cheers to Jackson and Harper!

Fun times are always had at the Devon Xmas party.  Amazing food, open bar (Tyler enjoyed) and great company.

And here is a baby bump picture for week 32!  I can't believe the twins will be here next month.  We start our weekly doctor's appointments on Monday which means we are getting so close.

Christmas Photo Shoot

Stephanie did a little photo shoot for the Miller Christmas card in downtown OKC before Thanksgiving.  We ended up with so many great photos which made it extremely hard to pick.  I think Steph might have a back up career in photography if the oil & gas industry has another bust!    Here are some of the runner's up . . .

Now that's enough pictures of us for now :)  Thanks Steph, I'm sure we will have plenty of photo shoots to come with the twins.
