Breckenridge

This past weekend Tyler and I escaped the Oklahoma heat for a little getaway in Breckenridge.  High temps in the 60's-70's have never felt so good!  I had been looking forward to this mini trip for months and I'm sad its already over.  We met Tyler's parents, brother and grandma for our weekend rendezvous.  After finding out the sex of our little bundles of joy earlier in the week, it was great to share the pictures and ultrasound video first hand with Tyler's family.

We rode the gondolas to the top of Breckenridge ski mountain.  Beautiful views!  It started storming while we were at the top so they shut down the gondolas.  We were stuck at the top for about an hour!  Not a shabby place to be stuck!
Tyler enjoyed his favorite beer while stuck at the top!

Tyler went on a guided fly fishing trip.  It looks like he had some success!

Breckenridge was hosting the fifth leg of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge on Saturday afternoon.  I had never attended a bike race but it sounded intriguing.  There were over 60,000 people in town to attend the race.  Of course I didn't want to miss out!
Pre race staking out our spot.
Here come the leaders . . .
It was amazing how quickly they rode by
A little post race dip in the river!
And of course while we were there we did a little shopping at the outlet mall.  The twins now have a pretty good start on their fashionable wardrobes!  Their clothes just barely fit in my suitcase.

Tyler couldn't resist this photo opp . . .
Unfortunately we are back in the OK heat!  I am now looking forward to the arrival of fall even more than before (I didn't know that was possible).  Thanks Millers for a great weekend!

Boys, Girls or Both?????

Yesterday was a huge day at the Miller household.  Tyler and I found out we have a little hootie and a beta in the making.  We feel so blessed to be having one of each!  Stephanie and Amanda were able to join us in the ultrasound room.  It was great to share that special moment with family!

Here are our two little angels!  We are such proud parents and love showing off our precious babies.

They both have extremely LONG legs.  I'm sure they will start jabbing me soon.
Here is our baby girl!  She is already sucking her thumb.  Looks like we need to start a braces fund asap.

She was very lady like and was crossing her legs.  Made her mama proud!

And here is our boy!  This is a view looking up at his little butt cheeks.  Crystal clear that this twin is a BOY!  I wish I could have captured Tyler's excitement when it was determined that one of the twins was a boy.  That moment was priceless.  He had a look of relief that he would not be completely outnumbered.
These legs will come in handy with all the sports daddy has in store for him!

Now that the sex has been determined let the shopping begin!  Yesterday will be a day that Tyler and I will never forget.  It was an unexplainable moment of pure happiness.  There is no doubt that the twins will be unconditionally loved and absolutely SPOILED!

High School Reunion

Tyler and I loaded up the car and the dogs and headed south to Plano for the weekend.  Saturday night was my 10 year high school reunion.  I can’t believe it has already been 10 years since I was a Plano Wildcat.  I was a little nervous to subject Tyler to the craziness of graduating with such a big class so I made him drink a few beers before we left.  Anyone that knows Tyler will agree that after a few beers he definitely gets a little chatty J  We ended up having a great evening!  It was nice seeing old friends and giving Tyler a little taste of the Plano Wildcats.

Unfortuantely I forgot my camera so I didn’t get any pictures at the reunion.  We did snap a couple of pics before we left my parents house.

The baby bump has made a small appearance.  This past week Tyler was in Houston for 2 days and I swear my belly doubled in size those 2 days.

Restless Night

Saturday was quite the day.  It started with an early morning trip to the new outlet mall in OKC with my sister (early as in we left the house around 7:15 am).  Then the normal Saturday errands including the grocery store, Lowes, car wash, etc.  Saturday evening Steph and I had a girl’s night with dinner and the theater.  We went and saw the Chorus Line while Tyler and the boys went to the casino.  Needless to say by the end of the night I was exhausted and ready to crash.
I was sleeping soundly besides waking up at least every hour to use the restroom.  I can’t imagine how often I will be getting up as I near the end of this pregnancy.  Then around 3:00 a.m. the unexpected happened.  I rolled over and felt a huge puddle in our bed.  I abruptly jumped out of bed and flipped the lights on to find that our beloved Maddie wet the bed.  I can’t remember the last time Maddie needed to go outside during the night let alone the last time she had an accident in the house.  Tyler and I started stripping the bed to find that her puddle was more like a pool.  It went through the duvet cover, feather bed, sheets and the mattress pad!!!  Poor Maddie was so embarrassed.
But who could be mad at these cute puppies!

We started some laundry and moved to another bedroom.  We picked the bedroom with a full size bed because it is darker and cooler in the summer.  Who would have thought that Tyler and I, the twinnies plus Maddie and Bailey would fit in a full size bed!
I think Maddie was secretly preparing Tyler and I for the restless and unexpected nights that will come when the twinnies arrive.  Thanks Maddie was giving us a little practice J

Reality Mondays

The one thing that gets me through long and dreaded Mondays is knowing that I get to watch my guilty pleasure, the Bachelorette, with the neighborhood girls that evening.  Unfortunately that is coming to an end tonight!  At the beginning of the season we were all thinking about boycotting Ashley’s season because none of us were huge Ashley Herbert fans.  But in the end, it’s not really about the show but more about the opportunity for the 5 of us to get together and have some quality girl time!  This is much needed after a LONG Monday.  We have had quite the excitement this Bachelorette season.  Three of the neighborhood girls have announced they are pregnant at our little watch parties.  It has been nice seeing everyone’s weekly pregnancy progress, thanks Ashley H. for this opportunity. J

Although the Bachelorette is coming to end this evening, we have the Bachelor Pad starting up next week!  From the previews, this season of the Bachelor Pad is filled with drama.  Just what we like!  We should have two additions to our Bachelor Pad watch party with the arrivals of baby Madelyn and baby Luke within the next month.  Can’t wait!  Thank goodness for reality Mondays!
