I can't get enough of . . .

I can't get enough of this sweet little girl and her smiles!  Harper used to make us work hard for her smiles but lately she is always dishing them out.  Jackson has some competition now!  She has become such a happy and content little girl!  I just want to hug, kiss and squeeze her non stop.

Play dates

One of my missions while in Plano this past weekend was to see friends and their sweet babies.  Mission accomplished!  Friday night we had a little happy hour with Becca, little man Wyatt and Beth.  It was National Margarita Day so we had to celebrate :)

And on Saturday we had a play date with my high school friend Kristy and her triplets!  We had a room full of multiples.
I thought trying to get a picture of two was difficult, try 5 :)

And Saturday afternoon we had a surprise visit from my friend Laura!  For a last minute trip we ended up cramming a lot family, friends and shopping into two short days.

Memories

My mom (Nana) has insisted on saving ALL of mine and Stephanie's toys from when we were little.  For the past 10 years I have thought she was crazy but this past weekend having all those toys paid off.  When we arrived at Nana and Grandpa's house on Friday we walked into a playroom full of my toys, my old kitchen, refrigerator and baby crib.  Seeing all those toys brought back so many memories and seeing Jackson and Harper have so much fun created so many new memories.  I think Jackson and Harper will need a kitchen in the near future!

Harper was a little jealous of her babies and wanted to test out the crib first hand
We even took out the pipeworks and made a slide.  This brought back so many memories of lemonade stands and jungle gyms.  Oh the endless fun with pipeworks!

we have a walker!

Miss Harper is walking!  She has been taking steps for at least a month now but nothing consistent.  This past week she stepped up her game to keep up with all the walking kiddos in her new daycare class.  Now don't get me wrong, we still face plant quite often and we're still wobbly but we are making progress.  She is all over the place and is so proud of her new accomplishment.

Bubs it's now your turn!

Little Valentines

Last Valentine's day the twins were barely a month old!  They wore their Valentine's sleepers and slept the majority of their first holiday.

.
This year was a different story!  Jackson and Harper had a busy Valentine's Day passing out Valentines, eating lots of sweets and loving on everyone.

Sister ate two cookies and two cupcakes!  Takes after her mama!

The teachers know me too well decorating with owls :)

There was a lot of love filling the Miller house this Valentine's Day!

Toddlers

Toddlers . . . it's crazy the twins are now considered toddlers.  Just last week they moved to the toddler class at school which means one nap, sleeping on a cot, circle time, organized crafts, etc.  So many emotions have been running through my head and heart this past week, amazement in how quickly they are growing up; shock in how quickly the baby stage flew by; impressed at how much they learn and change every day; love for every moment we have with them; and of course a little sadness for how quickly they are growing up.

I was a little skeptical of the transition to the toddler class but Jackson and Harper were champs.  They went to one nap with no problem and slept on a cot for 2.5 hrs the first day and everyday since.  If only the transition was so smooth at home :)

Harper snoozing away

Toddlers have way more fun at school!

and they sit "in" these crazy tables to eat :)

We are all ready for the new adventures and friends in the toddler class.  Bring it on!

Lucky Ducks

Last weekend while the twins were soundly napping I finished up their valentines for school.  I stumbled across these adorable rubber ducks at Target and thought they would make the perfect valentines!  I'm so excited for their school Valentine's party . . . crafts, food and valentine exchange (these two are growing up so fast).  Parents get to attend :) which means a blog post to follow!

For the LOVE of Chairs

These two are obsessed with their pottery barn chairs!  This mom and dad hit the jackpot with these Christmas presents.  Harper literally spends at least 30 mins a night climbing all over the chairs.  And now Jackson is starting to follow in her footsteps.  I think these chairs make them feel independent and like big kids.  One thing we have learned is that they don't want us touching their chairs!  They are off limits to parents and if we come too close we are told immediately to back off!

Like any other toy J&H fight over the chairs
the chairs make great jungle gyms!

These chairs have provided us with entertainment, laughs, exercise, quiet moments, a few tears but most of all two happy babies!
