Happy St. Paddys Day

It's Friday, St. Paddys Day, spring break, no work and perfect weather!  Me and the kids had such a great day celebrating the Irish.  We set up a leprechaun trap the on St. Patty's Eve and the next morning the kids woke up to find a little surprise in their trap.  They didn't quite catch a leprechaun but they did get all his loot!  Such a fun tradition I remember doing as a kid!

After a leisurely morning we headed downtown for some St. Pattys Day fun!  We ate, played at the park, listened to Irish music, fed the ducks and took pics with all the beautiful spring flowers!

Love my three little lucky charms!  No pinching them today!

We ended the evening with dinner and green beer at the golf course.  The kids hadn't played golf since early last fall so they were so excited to ride the golf cart and play a few holes!  Perfect way to keep busy while waiting on food!

And we ended the day with puppy snuggles!  Sadie may be feisty but she sure is cuddly as well!  Best friends in the making!  I could look at this pictures for days!

Soccer

I know spring is here when soccer season starts.  Back to the soccer fields on Saturdays.  Jackson has been counting down since last spring.  He LOVES soccer and would play the entire game if he had the choice.  Mason was so excited to start his first season.  He played the entire game and smiled the whole time.  He loved taking after his big brothers footsteps and starting his love for sports.  I am so proud of my boys.  Not only did they both play so hard but they had so much fun doing so!  Excited to see my boys grow and learn this season!
 face of determination!

These two have been friends since birth!  They were too cute to watch on the field together!

 Cutest tiny tot team around!
Harper made a pretty good cheerleader during our soccer Saturday!

Welcome Home Sadie

Today we completed our family with the addition of Sadie Luna.  Welcome home Sadie girl!  She is a precious goldendoodle that was born on January 7, 2017.  Ever since we had to put Bailey Kate down 3 years ago we knew our family wouldn't be complete without another dog.  We are so excited to have a dog the kids can grow up with and call their own.  We still love Maddie just as much, but Sadie will be a spunkier dog to keep up with the kids non-stop energy.  That will give Maddie a little more time for some R&R!  J, H and M are over the moon in love with their newest family member.  I must have heard "Sadie" at least a thousand times this evening!

A little background on her name . . . I had a stuffed puppy growing up named Sadie that looks very similar to our new Sadie.  As soon as I saw her picture I knew Sadie was the perfect fit.  The kids had a little different idea for names.  Their top choices were Luna, Sparkle and Star.  Luna was by far their favorite choice so we decided that would be the perfect middle day.  Sadie Luna!

Tyler and I drove to Kansas this afternoon to pick up our fur ball.  She was such a great traveler.  Little did she know she was resting up to meet a house full of chaos.

We had 5 hours roundtrip of peace and quiet and then . . . three super excited kids met us on the driveway to meet their puppy and the excitement never died down!

Excited to see our kids grow up with their Sadie.  It was love at first sight!  I'm sure I may need some reminders of this love during our puppy phase of accidents, chewing and sleepless nights but to see the kids love grow will be worth it all!  Their excitement tonight was priceless!
