Wedding Weekend

We had been counting down for Steph and Matt's wedding weekend for over a year and it finally arrived!  And what a fun weekend it was!  I loved having all our family from California, Illinois, Iowa and Texas in town.  It was a once in a lifetime weekend.  And of course I loved being next to Stephanie as she married the man of her dreams.

We kicked off the wedding festivities with a bike bar tour of OKC and a takeover of a local bar for singing and dancing.  I might have kicked off the weekend a little too hard but it was well worth it :)  SO MUCH FUN!

Pre bike bar drinks and dinner at Fuzzy's

Friday started with an amazing bridal lunch for Steph

followed by much needed pedicures

Then two little monkeys jumped on the hotel bed as we got ready for the rehearsal dinner

Rehearsal and rehearsal dinner time

Mason was MIA for our family pic.  He was such a trooper all weekend being passed around by all his admirers!

Toasting Steph's last night as a Nelson with lunchboxes from Ednas!

Wedding morning, pre glam squad
What a difference a little hair and makeup can make!

Matt's brothers looked ready to do a little pre wedding Chippendale's dance

And then my picture taking basically ended.  I was nervous for the twins flower girl and ring bearer debut and too excited for Steph to tie the knot.  The twins didn't do exactly what they were supposed to do, they are two, but they were sure funny.  They took about five steps down the aisle, Harper dropped about 5 petals and then they turned around and started running back.  Then they had a change of heart, turned back around and sprinted down the aisle.  No more petal throwing but Jackson did manage to toss his pillow.  They had the entire church laughing.  From there it went a little down hill bc they saw me at the front of the church and had no idea what to do.  Oh the memories!  Hopefully someone snapped a few pics to document this moment.

These two kicked off dancing while everyone was eating.  I guess dancing is way more fun than eating to them, not me.
 Dress twinkies!
What a weekend!  Congrats to Matt and Steph.

And a special thank you to Mimi and Papa for helping with the twins this weekend.  Obviously from the pics a chunk of our weekend was spent in bars so Mimi and Papa were in charge quite a bit.

Happy Two Months

Happy two months to my smiley sidekick Mason.  This past week you have become quite the little ham, flashing your gummy smile all the time.  Keep it coming!  Thankfully you are still such a mellow baby.  You are always so patient with Jackson and Harper as they kiss you, pull your feet, climb on you, etc.  They LOVE you so much.  You are also so patient with me as I drag you all over keeping up with J&H.  There is never a dull moment in your little life.

Official two month stats:
Weight:  12 lbs, 14 oz (79%)
Height:  23 inches (55%, could be longer but you were so squirmy when you were being measured)
Head:  41 3/4 cm (89%)

We love you little man!

Lake Time

Jackson and Harper made their first trip to the lake this weekend to test out Aunt Steph and Uncle Matt's new boat.  J&H have been talking about the new boat ever since they laid eyes on it so they were so excited to take it out on the water.  That is until Jackson got a little sea sick on the way out.  Once he was able to jump into the water all was good again.   Such a fun afternoon relaxing in the sun.  Much needed sun for me before the big wedding weekend!

J&H patiently waiting for Steph and Matt to arrive with the boat!

Jackson, please stop looking so grown up!!!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the most amazing dad to three beautiful children.  Jackson, Harper and Mason love you so much.  You amaze me everyday with everything you do for our family!  Not many dads could juggle the chaos of our house with a smile all the time.  You always make it look so easy!  We are so lucky to have you in our lives.  Love you honey.
