Working Mom

My 12 weeks of maternity leave has come to an end.  I start back to work tomorrow.  It will be nice easing myself back into the routine with one day :)  Returning to work is definitely bittersweet!  I'm excited to get into our everyday routine and be around adults on a daily basis but I'm definitely going to miss my precious babies.  I know I will be checking the clock constantly for it to hit 5:00 so I can see Jackson and Harper's smiling faces.  I will definitely appreciate our time together so much more!  Luckily their daycare is only a few blocks from work so if I'm having major withdrawals they are only a walking distance away.

I'm looking forward to our family carpool.  It will make it much easier hauling the twins in and out of daycare.  Plus it will be nice having Tyler with me when I'm having a hard time leaving the twins.  He will probably be dragging me away from them some mornings.

I'm also excited to be able to spend more time with the hubby.  With us both working at Devon we are used to seeing A LOT of each other.  That is the one thing I have missed most during maternity leave.  We will definitely have lunch dates on a regular basis now that I'm back at work!  Best kind of date, no babysitter needed.

Stay tuned for a recap of my first day back and the twins first full day at daycare!

Tummy Woes

Little Miss Harper has been quite the cranky mess the past month.  She has been fighting her bottles, basically gagging anytime I stick the nipple in her mouth, and then spitting up a majority of what she eats.  If I can get the nipple in her mouth she cries while eating.  Its so heartbreaking!  I know she is hungry because she is eating both her fists.  Her nickname the first few months was hungry hippo because you could never get a bottle in her mouth soon enough.  It always reminded me of the chaos in the hungry hippo game.  Times have definitely changed!  I brought her to the Dr. yesterday and they confirmed that she has acid reflux.  She is now taking Axid to hopefully help her poor little tummy!  My fingers are crossed that the medicine works wonders and brings my happy Harper back to life.

Miss Harper I hope your tummy starts feeling better quickly!  I can't stand to see you hurting.   Love you baby girl!

March Randoms

Here are some random pictures that I have snapped with my iphone throughout March.  It's funny going through my iphone and seeing the transition from all dog pictures to all twin pictures.  Hopefully we can start capturing the twins and dogs together. That might be wishful thinking :)

She may look innocent but looks can be deceiving :)

Just relaxing
A little elbow to brother's face
And he fights back
Bumbo fun

I can't believe my little babies are almost 3 months!  It's crazy how quickly time flies by.  I will be going back to work next Friday which will be bittersweet.

Newborn Pics

Now that our baby announcements have been mailed I can finally post some of  Jackson and Harper's newborn pictures.  I know what you are thinking, the twins are already over two months and you are just now mailing the newborn announcements!!!  My goal was to get them out before they turned two months but that obviously didn't happen; things have been just A LITTLE busy at the Miller house.
Enjoy the pictures, not sure how you couldn't because these little ones are adorable!

Jackson got the only individual picture in his daddy's baseball glove

It's Official

Our house is officially up for sale.  As if Tyler and I don't have enough on our plate raising Jackson and Harper we have decided to build a new house.  After bringing the twins home from the hospital we quickly realized that our house is WAY TOO small for our family of four plus two dogs.  I have crammed things under all the beds, completely filled every closet and now I am out of room.  The Miller family is moving north to a neighborhood called Bella Terra in Edmond.  Not only will we have a larger home but we will also have a large yard for the twins to run around in.  We are in the process of designing the floor plan.  We should have it finalized this Wednesday and our lot should be clear within the next week.  Woohoo, just blogging out the news gets me super excited.  The estimated completion date of our new home is end of August.  In the meantime we are trying to sell our current house.  Should be fun trying to keep the house clean with the twins and dogs!

Here is a picture of our lot prior to the trees being cleared

Never a dull moment in the Miller household!

Lucky Little Leprechauns

Jackson and Harper are ready to celebrate their first St. Patrick's Day!  We started preparing today by busting out our St. Patty's day attire.  Luckily their Nanna got them green outfits so they won't be pinched (they still might get a few cheek pinches b/c that is way too hard to avoid).  They do have a little Irish blood in them from the Winslow family.  The Winslow's love celebrating the day with a green beer.  21 more years until the twins can fully enjoy this holiday :)

The Real Housewives of . . .

Introducing the Real Housewives of Talavera. . .

We truly have the BEST neighbors!  I have loved spending extra time with all the ladies while on maternity leave.  And thank goodness for some nice weather which has allowed us to take afternoon walks with all the kiddos.  We basically take up the entire width of the street.  The  owner of our subdivision caught us walking a few weeks ago and couldn't resist the photo opportunity.  You would think we would at least get free homeowners dues this year since we are now part of his advertising :)

2 month check-up

Jackson and Harper had their 2 month check-up this morning and the Dr. confirmed that they are both absolutely perfect!  Of course we didn't expect anything less.  They are both recovering from their shots as we speak.  Luckily Mimi and Papa are in town to give them extra love.  Here are their 2 month stats:

Little Man
9 lbs 2 oz (1% up from last time, I know that is hard to believe)
21 1/2 inches (2%)
head circumference 15 1/2 inches (60%, plenty of room for his smart brain!)

Little Miss
10 lbs 1 oz (19%)
21 1/2 (11%)
head circumference 15 inches (47%)

Prepping Jackson for his shots with a little Tylenol
Little Miss loving being naked
Jackson got a kick out of looking at himself in the mirror.
Sister got a little hungry and started chomping on brother's arm
Their bright eyes were soaking in everything

Jackson showing off his battle wounds
Harper needed a little TLC from her daddy after her shots
