Halloween Success

Our Halloween was a HUGE success!  Jackson and Harper had so much fun trick-or-treating with their neighbor friends.  So many fun memories that I will cherish forever!

We rushed home from work, changed into our Dorothy and Scarecrow costumes, loaded up the wagon and headed to meet our neighbors.  J&H needed a little snack for the road.
After the kids fueled up with a little dinner they were out the door and ready for candy!

Love all these little munchkins!

Dorothy's little dog Toto came to play . . .

J&H also loved passing out candy at our house.  They would watch out the window and when they spotted trick or treaters Harper would say "they coming"

And at the end of the night Harper declared she was "all done"!
I think we are all worn out from the evening!

Spooktacular

The munchkins started their Halloween celebration a little early with a trip to mommy and daddy's work for "Spooktacular".  Our little Dorothy and Scarecrow were a hit!  It was amazing how quickly they caught onto getting candy.  For two kids that have never really had candy they are now hooked!

Thanks Nana for making our super cute costumes!

Our little candy monsters . . .

Sister had to stop and check out her loot!
Someone looks pretty comfortable in daddy's office!
Fun little afternoon showing off our sweet babies to our Devon friends!

This post is a two for one!  Sunday evening we took the kids to Storybook Forest at Lake Arcadia.  Classic storybook scenes are set up on a little trail through a forest and as you visit each scene the kids get to do a little trick-or-treating.  Kids are such a good excuse to test out local events I have been eyeing for years :)

Happy Halloween and happy candy eating!

Homecoming

Saturday was homecoming down in Norman aka "the Palace on the Prairie" as OU beat an undefeated Texas Tech.  With the homecoming parade and all the other fun game day festivities we thought it would be perfect to the bring J&H down.  And what made it even more perfect was Mimi agreed to take the kids home after a morning of fun so we could enjoy the game!  Thank you Mimi.

J&H had a blast and completely wore themselves out!  Jackson practiced his football moves!

His quarterback skills might need a little work!

Fast feet . . .
Jackson with this Papa who is about to have a BIG bday!

As good as it's going to get for a family picture! I can't even imagine trying to snap a picture with three kids!

And what's a trip down to campus on Homecoming without stopping by the Chio house.  Jackson and Harper know all about the owls!  Sister looks right at home!  17 more years and you could be eating at these tables everyday.
After a FUN morning, J&H went home and Tyler, Stan and I waited out the rain delay and then watched OU beat Tech.  Rain delays aren't so fun when you're sober Sally!  But the game definitely made up for it!  Of course every store was out of ponchos so Tyler asked for a trash bag from a restaurant.  Worked perfect, thanks honey!
Boomer Sooner and happy birthday papa!  We had a lot to celebrate this weekend!
