Ski Bums - FEBRUARY 2019

I can't believe I saved this post as a draft and never published it!!! I can't imagine not having these memories documented, SO a year later here is the kids first ski trip!

We just returned from a weekend in Angel Fire hitting the slopes with the kids for the first time!  I didn't have the highest expectations going into our trip!  I knew it would be a ton of work and wasn't completely sure the kids would enjoy it!  BUT it was a huge success, still a ton of work but such a blast.  The kids LOVED skiing and did so great!  I knew Jackson would have no fear and dominate the slopes but was I was totally blown away with how much Harper loved it.  Mason did great as well!  They are already planning their ski trip in 2020!

We arrived and headed straight to the snow!  Needed to burn some energy after being in the car for 8 hours!

The kids went to ski school the first day to learn the basics.  They rocked ski school in the worst weather conditions, it was freezing, SO windy and snowing SO hard the entire day!  It was blizzard like conditions.  Tyler and I skied while they were in school and we called it quits by lunch because the conditions were so miserable.   I was so worried they would be defeated when we picked them up but they weren't!  They were so excited and ready to hit the slopes again the next day!  Thank goodness!

These kids woke up ready to dominate ski school!

The next morning we woke up and were some of the first people in line for the lift!  These kids were ready!

 Lift buddies!

Jr NBA MLK 8U Champs

Jackson played in the 2020 Jr. NBA MLK Day 3x3 basketball tournament at Solid Rock.  His team (Warriors) went 4-0 and took home the 8U championship.  Such a fun Monday watching these boys ball!

Happy 8th Birthday J&H

Happy 8th birthday Jackson and Harper!  Can't not believe you two are 8.  Time is flying and it needs to slow down!  These past 8 years have been absolutely amazing!  You have brought so much joy, love and laughter into our lives!

Jackson, you are your dad's dream son and mine as well!  You LOVE all sports, playing and watching.  You are still extremely competitive and have a drive unlike most 8 year olds.  You do everything with 110%.  Once your mind is set there is no stopping until you have accomplished your goal.  You have NO fear.  You will try anything and never back down.  It amazes me, especially in sports, when you play or compete with older kids or people you don't know with no hesitation.  You do everything with so much confidence.  You are so smart, especially in math.  You treat school just like your sports and put in 110%.  You work incredibly hard and are an example student.   You have the best sense of humor and the most contagious laugh.  Once your laugh gets going it's hard stopping it!  You are very inquisitive and soak everything in.  We are SO very proud of you and love watching you grow and excel at everything you do!  We love you to the moon and back!

Harper, you are the most amazing daughter.  You are beautiful inside and out.  You have such a huge heart and such a motherly nature.  You love to help others.  I love hearing from your teacher how helpful you are in class, not only just helping your teacher but also your classmates.  You always look out for others and are such a great friend.  You are so creative and artistic.  Your artwork always amazes me!  I've been extra proud of you this past year for stepping out of your comfort zone and trying basketball.  You might be hesitant to try new things but you always do amazing!  I can always count on you to be my rock when our house gets chaotic.  You will always be our special baby girl!  We are SO very proud of everything you do!  We love you infiniti times 10!

Jackson had his dream birthday party that he had been requesting for months, nerf gun battles and dodgeball!  He had the best time with his soccer and baseball teammates and a few school friends!  We barely got these boys off the court to eat cake!

J in his happy place!!

The dads sat on the sidelines long enough . . .

After Jackson's party ended, we rushed home and had 30 minutes to prep for Harper's JoJo Siwa slumber party!!!  She had the best night with her closest friends!  We sure do love this group of girls!  Matching PJs are a must for a slumber party!

Every 30 mins the girls popped a balloon to find out what the next activity would be.  We had silly string fights, lip gloss making, toe nail painting games, popcorn, candy and movie and more!  We kept the girls busy which made the night go SO smoothly!

These two have been besties since they were born!  They are like sisters and could spend every second together.  Love their friendship!
Sadie was in heaven with all these girls!  She was spoiled rotten!

Nighty Night girls!

We knocked out both birthday parties in one day and SURVIVED!!!!  Such a fun day celebrating my favorite twins!

But the celebrating didn't end, every birthday requires a hibachi dinner at SUMO!  Shrimp catching, fire and great food!

The birthday celebrating continued on their actual birthday!  It fell on a Monday and was their last day of winter break, so I got to spend the entire day with my birthday babies!  The birthday fairy did her magic and left the twins with a fun surprise overnight.  Their favorite was busting through their bedroom doors, which were covered in wrapping paper, when the y woke up!  Love making their birthdays so special!
Their big birthday presents were their trunks for Kanakuk!  Can't believe we are months away from them going to a week long camp without us!!!

We ended their birthday with laser tag, bowling, ropes course and endless arcade games!!!

What a special few days celebrating Jackson and Harper!
