Baker v Kyler

I love being an OU fan and the places it takes us!  When the 2019 NFL schedule was released and Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray (back to back Heisman winning OU quarterbacks) were playing each other IN December IN Phoenix, we booked flights immediately.  Even better we had some of our good neighbor friends join the fun!  There is no better weekend getaway than Scottsdale in December.  We were only there 48 hrs but we crammed in an amazing hike, endless good food, fun bars and an NFL game (Cardinals v Browns).  We left OKC at 7 am on Saturday and landed in Phoenix at 9 am, and by 10 am we were hiking Camelback Mountain.  We chose to hike up Cholla and down Echo.  Both challenging but so fun!  We earned our food and drinks the rest of the weekend!

Made it to the top!  So worth the views!  Santa was even at the top passing out candy canes :)
After hiking, we spent the afternoon restaurant/bar hopping!  The options were endless!  Fav places were Diego Pops (Brussel sprout nachos), The Mission (amazing dinner), RnR Gastropub (great bottomless mimosa and blood mary brunch).  Wish we had more time!
Love this happy hour company!

Old Town Scottsdale was super cute and festive!

No better way to end the day than with a Show Stopper Milkshake at ZuZu at Hotel Valley Ho!
Game Day!  NFL games are such a different experience than a college game but still so fun!  And so much more relaxing just cheering on quarterbacks!

Kyler definitely won the first battle of the quarterbacks!

Holiday in the Park

60+ degrees and a Friday evening off from basketball was our perfect opportunity to go to Holiday in the Park at Frontier City for the first time!  Such a fun night with friends!  The lights were beautiful and there were absolutely no lines for the rides.  We rode everything the kids wanted to in 1.5 hours!  AMAZING!!!

Santa Brunch

Santa Brunch at Oak Tree is one of our favorite holiday traditions!  The kids were counting down until they could give the jolly man their Christmas lists.  They started making their lists back in the summer and they haven't changed much.  These three know exactly what they want this year!

Jackson: Laser gun set, lots of nerf guns and Nintendo Switch games
Harper:  JoJo bedding, JoJo posters and JoJo heelies
Mason:  Nerf guns, Beyblades set, bow and arrow and basketball pop-a-shot

Love love love their smiles and giggles!  The Christmas magic is so real and I never want it to fade!

Ice Skating

The kids have been so excited to go ice skating!  I grabbed them from school one afternoon and we headed straight downtown to beat the evening rush!  We sktaed for hours and had to pull the kids off the ice.  They struggled, fell a lot but LOVED every minute!  Mine and Tyler's feet were killing us but we pushed through!  So festive and so fun!  Perfect evening on the ice!  If the kids had it their way we would be ice skating every night!

Happy Thanksgiving

It was a happy Thanksgiving for the Miller Crew.  We have so much to be thankful for this year and every year!  A week off from school was just what we needed to slow down the pace and enjoy all the things we are so thankful for!

We started Thanksgiving morning delivering meals to families in need.  This is the second year we have done this and it is always a hit with the kids. They get to package the meals and then we deliver the meals to homes.  So fulfulling and a great reminder of how fortunate we are!

We changed it up this year and did a Thanksgiving dinner.  It was so nice to finish the day with all our family!  The only pictures I got from Thanksgiving dinner were the kids painting cookies.  Probably their favorite part!

On Black Friday we rang the Salvation Army bells at Sams Club.  We split our 4 hour shift with our neighbors.  The kids had a blast!  It was so amazing to see how generous the people of Edmond were with their donations.  It must have been the cute kids that suckered everyone into donating!  There were very few people that walked by without donating.  Our shift raised $574.82!!!  Such a fun tradition!

We were all sad to see Thanksgiving break come to an end!  Looking forward to two weeks at home with the kids over Christmas!
