Jackson's 10th Bday Weekend

10 is a special birthday, not only is it double digits but at 10 they just seem so much older!  For years we promised the kids for their 10th birthdays we would take them each individually on a weekend trip of their choice (within reason).  We wanted to make it a special weekend full of quality individual time, which is so rare with three kids!  Jackson instantly knew he wanted to attend a professional sporting event, and when we found out Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray were playing each other during fall break we knew it was meant to be!  So off to Cleveland we went to cheer on our Sooner quarterbacks!  Jackson is a huge Kyler Murray fan so he was going against the die hard Cleveland fans cheering on the visiting quarterback!   Cleveland was a first for all three of us so we had fun exploring a new city together!

We had a 5:30am flight out of OKC so we landed early in Cleveland and were ready to explore!

Cleveland is located on Lake Erie so the wind was CRAZY and it was super chilly!  We had a lot of pictures like this from the wind!
Sneak peek of the stadium!  All was quiet Saturday morning but we knew the streets would be packed on game day!

The West Side market was a fun place to walk around!  Jackson was impressed with all the fresh fish!

We couldn't visit Cleveland without grabbing ice-cream from Mitchells!  So good and super cool to watch them make the ice-cream from above
We wrapped up our afternoon with bowling and then cheering on our Sooners!
Tyler was excited to see Coach Lincoln Riley in matching OU pullovers!  Must be cool!  With such an early flight we decided to watch the OU game in the hotel room.  There was a wedding in the lobby so we would people watch and dance from afar doing commercials!
We bundled up Sunday morning and headed to pre-game tailgate!  We had no idea what to expect but holy moly it was insane!  The tailgate scene was over one mile long and was so packed!  Cleveland fans are die hard and have supported their team through lots of losing seasons!  These fans come to party and be loud!

At the end of the tailgate stretch we found a "family" tailgate and made some new friends!  Jackson fit right in!

We passed the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on our walk to the stadium

Couldn't resist an OU pic since we were supporting our OU quarterbacks

The sunset over Lake Erie was beautiful!
Jackson was smiling ear to ear as the Cardinals rolled over the Browns and got the W
We stayed at the Hyatt Regency at the Arcade.  The bottom 3 floors were shopping and small businesses.  They call this an arcade, rather than a mall.  Not the kind of arcade J would prefer but it was very pretty!

We had the best weekend away with Jackson!  We learned when he has our full attention he is such an inquisitive kid.  He asked endless questions and kept us on our toes all weekend!  I will forever cherish this special weekend together!  These kids are growing up way to quickly and every moment with them is so special!  I hope we can have this one on one time more often because it sure does mean a lot!

Raptors First Travel Tournament

What a fun weekend we had with our Raptor family in Duncan, OK!  The Raptors had their first travel tournament, spent the night at a hotel and dominated some baseball!  Such a great group of boys and families!

Mason could hardly sleep leading up to the tournament!  He was so excited for a weekend at a hotel with his best buddies!

We got to the hotel and let the boys loose!  Our entire team was on the same floor so they ran up and down the hallway non-stop!

Had to get their workout in to be game day ready!
I've always done travel goodie bags for Jackson's team so I had to carry on that tradition for the Raptors!  The boys get so excited to dig into all their goodies!
Raptors Christmas!
Matching Raptors PJs were the "big" item this tournament.  Could they get an cuter?!?!?

The moms had a little hallway party after the boys went to bed, which turned into late night shenanigans in the Miller room!  Tyler was in Elk City for Jackson's tournament and drove in late night to be with the Raptors.  The parents decided to stay up and have a surprise party for him :)
SO many laughs!  My cheeks were so sore the next morning!
The boys wore pink socks the month of October to support breast cancer awareness.

Winner winner!  The Raptors have come close so many times this season and they finally sealed the deal and took home 1st!

They earned this bling!

Looking forward to many more tournaments and tournament wins with this team!
