Christmas Light Fun

I have come across the cutest pictures on Pinterest of babies playing with Christmas lights.  Last night I put the babies on the floor with a strand of lights and started snapping pics.  Of course mine did not quite turn out like the pics I have been pinning.  If only I knew how to work my camera. I have a very small window of "happy" time to take pictures so my time is limited to experiment with all the camera settings.  We might try again but these still turned out cute . . . next time J needs a Santa hat!

First Thanksgiving

Tyler and I had a lot to be thankful for this year:  two beautiful and healthy children, loving and supportive family members, the perfect new house, jobs that pay the bills, fun friends and the list continues.  Thanksgiving was the perfect reminder of how lucky and fortunate we are.

We enjoyed four days at home with Jackson and Harper and my family.  We cooked, ate, swam, decorated for Christmas, went for walks, played at the park, went to the river boat parade and many other fun things.  To top it off we went to the Thunder/Clippers game and the crazy Bedlam game (Thunder Up and Boomer Sooner)!  What a weekend!

Jackson and Harper loved their first Thanksgiving feast.  They chowed down on all the Thanksgiving staples!

Here are a few pics I snapped of the twinnies in their turkey shirts made by their Nana.

Now that Thanksgiving is over we are preparing for Christmas.  The tree and lights are up and we have busted out the twins Christmas jammies and outfits.  I am so excited for the twins to experience their first Christmas.  Although they are still babies I still plan to introduce them to all the Christmas traditions!

Why Not . . .

Why not swim in November???  Friday we cranked up the heater and by Saturday the water was 83 degrees.  J&H had a blast so it was totally worth it.

All Bundled

I love this picture and couldn't resist sharing!  We all had a little cabin fever after a rainy cold start to last Sunday.  So once the sun came out we decided to go on a little walk.  Jackson's face says it all!

J&H definitely love being outside!

10 Months

A little late but happy 10 month birthday Jackson and Harper!  It's hard to believe that this time last year I was 6 months pregnant and large and in charge :)  J&H have been busy growing up this past month!  They are now army crawling, they each cut their first tooth, Harper is pulling up on everything, they go from laying to sitting and they are eating people food.  I would say its been their busiest month yet!  And to top it off Jackson got his first set of tubes, adios ear infections!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jackson

Weight: a little over 22 lbs would be my guess
Clothes: mostly 9 months however we are starting to test out 12 months
Diapers: Size 3 during the day and size 5 at night (little pee monster)
Food:  3 bottles for the time being but I hope to cut that to two soon. Favorite people food so far is avocado, string cheese and cooked carrots.
Sleep:  post tubes we are back on track to sleeping through the night, next step sleeping a little later. Still 2 two hour naps at daycare, not so long on weekends
Likes:    You love Peek-a-boo (it makes you laugh so hard you get the hiccups), being turned upside down, being tickled, splashing in the bath, flipping your toys over to examine all the parts (engineer in the making), throwing your sippy cup on the floor, banging toys together, you are becoming obsessed with mommy holding you

Harper

Weight: could be close to 23 lbs
Clothes:  mostly 9 months and some 12 months
Diapers:  Size 3 during the day and size 4 at night
Food: 3 bottles, favorite people food cheese puffs, avocado, banana, spaghetti
Sleep:  close to 12 hours a night and 2 two hours naps, unlike your brother you nap good for us on weekends (thank you).
Likes:  sucking your fingers, handing us all your toys, scrunching your nose, pulling up on anything and everything, bath time

Pictures are becoming extremely difficult to take.  I tried on several occasions to take the 10 month pictures and the twins weren't having it!  So I will settle with these :)

Take 1

Harper insisted that I wear her sticker
scrunch that nose!
Not feeling it
Over it!

Take two
Happy but not wanting to wear his 10 month sticker

J is eating grass and H is eating her sticker, we do feed them!

Love you two!

Fallin Leaves

The amount of leaves in our new yard is unreal and with 30 mph winds they just keep coming!  Yesterday we put a blanket in the yard and let the babies play in the leaves.  Saying J&H had a blast would be an understatement.  Maddie and Bailey even got into the action chasing the leaves.  The facial expressions in these pictures cracks me up.

Harper's face says it all, OMG look at all those leaves in the pool!  Tyler and I made the same face!

Jackson thought the leaves were a knee slapper!
The leaves keep coming!
Tasty???

Sister, look at this big leaf I found!

Fall is definitely in the air!  Tyler and I will be raking the yard and sweeping the pool for the next month.  See you outside!

Home Sweet Home

Two weeks ago we moved into our new home.  We spent every free second for the last nine months working on this house, from designing the floor plan to picking out the hardware for the cabinets.  And in the end it was totally worth it!  We absolutely LOVE our new house and hope to be in it for years to come.  We are so excited for the twins to grow up in their new home and neighborhood.  We have already met the majority of our neighbors and they are all so nice and welcoming.  It looks like Jackson and Harper will have lots of playmates!

We love visitors, so come visit the new house and of course the twins!
