Easter

The Miller clan had the best Easter weekend!  We soaked up the long weekend together and had the best time!

We kicked off our Easter celebrations with Oak Tree's Easter brunch.  Always a great time!  The petting zoo is always a highlight!

These three have all my heart and are the CUTEST!
Love our holidays with some of the neighbor crew!  These kids are going to have the best memories growing up together!

Mason's 5th Birthday

Mason is FIVE!  I can't believe my baby boy is 5.  We had the best day celebrating him.  He deserved his special day.

Mason you sure are one special boy!  You know how to love BIG and you always know the moments it's needed the most.  You give the absolute best hugs, kisses and snuggles and you are never shy to show your love to your family.  You also are so fun loving.  You play hard and have the best friendships.  You are so funny and expressive.  Your big brown eyes tell the best stories and convince me to do anything!  You open up only to those you are close to, otherwise you can be quite shy.  You carefully choose your close friends you let into our special life.  You also know how to test the limits and you test them often.  I feel so lucky to be your mom and watch you grow into the amazing kid you are!  Keep being you and you will do amazing things!

Mason knew exactly what he wanted to do for his birthday celebration and we did it all:

  • McDonalds for school lunch
  • donuts for his class celebration
  • Sumo for dinner
  • smash his face in a cake
The birthday fairy worked her magic during the night to surprise Mason with birthday decorations.  Hearing his squeal as he busted through the wrapping paper was priceless!
Loved getting to bring Mason lunch for his birthday.  It's always so special to see the kids in their element at school!  He grinned from ear to ear the entire time!
And an added bonus we got to eat with Jackson and Harper as well!
 After school smiles!
Mason could not wait for Jackson and Harper to get home from school so he could send his birthday balloons to Bailey in doggy heaven!  He wrote "I miss you" on each balloon and signed his name.  He has such a deep love for Bailey which is crazy because she passed away a few weeks before he was born.  I have no doubt Bailey watches over Mason every day and I 100% believe his ability to love so hard comes from Bailey.
Dinner at Sumo was amazing!  I'm so glad Mason got us to try it.  It may have been our first time but definitely won't be our last time!  It was super fun and the food was delish!  Everyone had big eyes watching the fire!
glowing!
The chef gave us all a try at catching scrambled eggs in our mouth!  Tyler was the only successful catch!

We ended the evening with Mason's birthday cake!  Love this kid big!

He had been saying for weeks he wanted a cake so he could smash his face in it!  Well he did and Tyler gave him a little extra smash!

Looks like this kid had the best birthday!

Arf the Musical

Jackson and Harper had their first real school musical, Arf.  Jackson's class played Boxers and Harper's class played Golden Retriever.  Such a cute play full of fun songs and lots of lines.  Jackson even had two lines of his own!  Love these cute little puppy dogs!

1st Grade Zoo Field Trip

Jackson and Harper had a blast at their first grade field trip to the zoo.  Such a fun change of pace for the day!  I hung with the boys and Harper tagged along with her besties.  Such a difference between the boys and girls.  I was basically chasing the boys down, while the girls slowly took their time meandering through the zoo.  Such a fun day!

Spring Break - Broken Bow

Second annual spring break trip to Broken Bow was a huge success.  We have the best time with a group of neighbors, sneaking away from reality for a few days during spring break.  We basically spend three days outside ALL day.  The kids play and play and play, no electronics and no fighting.  Such a fun getaway with SO many memories.  These kids are living the dream and us parents are as well!

First night calls for Grateful Head pizza!
St. Patty's Day fell the first full day of our trip.  The Miller kids introduced everyone to our tradition of trying to catch a leprechaun.  All the kids helped set the trap the night before and they woke up to find a trap full of goodies!  The leprechaun ran so quickly he left all his gold and candy behind :)

We went horse backing riding the first morning of our vacay!  Such a fun group outing!

Kids got to feed the horses before we headed out on the trail

 Such beautiful views
Mason was the St. Pattys day loving child that wore his green and shamrock necklaces the entire trip!

Evenings by the campfire were the best!  Smores, story telling and lots of laughter!

 Love my boys!
Next morning started with a great hike and fabulous views!

Then picnic lunch by the river!  Love this group!  21 in total, all staying the same house!

Then we tried some fishing.  Different spot but still no luck catching fish!

Last afternoon the moms snuck away for a little wine tasting and a lot of great convo.  I sure do love these ladies!
Such a fun get away!  I hope we continue this annual tradition for years to come.  Definitely a trip my kids talk about year round!
