Street Cars

The streetcars recently opened in downtown OKC.  So over Christmas break we had a Sunday Funday exploring downtown OKC on the streetcar.  Such a fun little afternoon.  Mason was so excited to finally ride!  I'm sure that will be the first of many rides!

SNOW

The kids finally got to enjoy the first snow of the year!  The weather forecasters have predicted multiple snow storms that didn't pan out, so this time when the snow started falling we were outside instantly.  The kids sled and sled and sled up and down the Bella Terra hills.  They burned so much energy and worked up the biggest appetite!  I was tired just watching!

It was getting dark, but Mason was dying to test out his snowman kit so we made a mini!  Still super cute!

Happy New Years

We rang in the new year with some of our closest friends and our little family!  We kicked off the night with an adult dinner and drinks and brought the kids in on the fun towards the end of the evening!  Excited to see what 2019 holds for the Miller family.  It will be hard to beat 2018 but I have no doubt we have amazing things ahead!

Christmas Fun

Celebrating the holidays through the kids' eyes was truly magical and full of so many amazing memories!  This year was the most fun by far!  The kids got out of school only three days before Christmas so we had a lot of fun to cram in a weekend!

We kicked off Christmas weekend with the 2nd annual neighborhood caroling!  Such a fun tradition with some of our favorite people!

These kids mastered spreading the Christmas cheer!
Next up, introducing the kids to one of my favorite Christmas traditions, Christmas Carol at Lyric Theater. For years we made this an adult outing, with my parents, sister and BIL, but this year I thought the kids would be the perfect age to participate for the first time!

Wrapped up the show with snow and smiles!

After the show, we delivered Christmas dinners to local OKC families through an organization for Dinner for Love. Another holiday favorite that really feels our hearts.

While downtown, we fulfilled one of the kids little wishes, to ride a Lime of Birdie downtown!  They have been begging to ride since the scooters appeared in OKC.   We didn't venture far but we took a few laps around a parking lot.  The kids had a blast!  It was an unplanned, yet so fun, adventure!

On Sunday, we woke up and knocked out decorating cookies for Santa.  We did pretty good for the first time using Royal icing!  Such a mess and so time consuming but the kids loved it.  They have been so into art lately, so the royal cookie decorating was right up their alley.

Look at this concentration!
That night we loaded up and did our annual Christmas Light Scavenger Hunt!  This year the list was a little longer and a little harder!
And we ended the night with our annual living room slumber party, enjoying a fire and the Christmas lights!  Usually Tyler and I sleepover in the living room as well, but as the kids and dogs get bigger, they are taking over!

My favorite view that sums up the magic of Christmas!
And finally Christmas Eve!  What better way to start the day than with a little girl time getting manis and pedis!

We sure LOVE the Christmas Eve service at our church.  Always amazing music and such a great message!
Then to Mimi and Papas for our annual Italian feast with family!
Love my sweet and cuddly nephew Ellis!

It's not easy getting a picture of 5 cousins, 6 and under, to all look and smile at the same time.  We take what we can get and are happy to at least have all 5 in one pic.

The kids reenacted Christmas Eve in the manger.  They did great and looked so cute!  They watched The Star a few times this holiday season they had their roles mastered!
This years Christmas Eve games included trying to "pin" the reindeer nose on the reindeer :)

Before heading to bed, we sprinkled reindeer food on the front lawn, left out cookies and milk for Santa and then snuggled in bed dreaming of Santa coming!

This kid was Mr. Christmas this year!  You sure can tell how excited he was by this smile!
Christmas morning!  Only snapped a few pictures bc we were too busy soaking in all the happiness!

The rest of the day was spent digging into all the new toys!

SO MUCH FUN!  It was an exhausting December and there were a few times we questioned cramming in all the fun and traditions, BUT when I saw this letter in Harper's journal it quickly reminded Tyler and I it was all worth it 100%!  LOVE that Harper cherishes all our family traditions and I can only hope we continue them for years to come!
What a great Christmas season spent with my favorite little family and friends!
