Goodbye Paynes

Saying goodbye to the Paynes was so hard but I have no doubt we will continue our friendship and more importantly I'm certain Jackson and Landon will remain great friends.  Hopefully they re-unite as roommates at OU freshman year!   These two have a special friendship and I'm so grateful these boys brought our families together!

The Braves ended their Spring 2022 season as champions!  They played this one for #7!  Landon and family will be greatly missed by the Braves family!

Our Braves family means to much to us . . . the boys, parents, siblings and grandparents are what make this team so special!  We spend A LOT of time together and its always a blast!

A going away party is always bittersweet but this one was one for the memory books!  The Braves retired #7.

The water balloons took this party to the next level!  Kids vs parents and the parents ended up soaked!

The water balloons turned into all the parents getting thrown into the pool!  Only this group of parents would laugh it off and continue swimming in their clothes for the rest of the evening!

What a fun and memorable night!  I sure hope this is a night the kids will always remember!

Happy 4th

We look forward to 4th of July all year and it never disappoints!  We love doing all things American, including wearing red, white and blue for a solid week, attending all the BBQs/swim parties, shooting off all the fireworks, singing God Bless American on repeat and spending days straight with family and friends.  We crash when its all over but its 100% worth it!

We were so lucky to have the Paynes join our neighborhood fireworks the night before they moved south to Dallas.  So glad we got to spend one last evening with this crew!

These two started celebrating the 4th together at birth and I hope they continue to do so forever!

I have no doubt this friendship with continue with distance but we will definitely miss seeing Landon regularly!

Easily distracted from picture taking with fireworks!

Best fireworks and best view!  Love that our neighborhood comes together every year to make this night happen!  It will be night that our kids always remember!

We also love our 4th of July pool party tradition and thankful for the Flemings for hosting!

This year the moms had a little surprise for the guys . . . matching swim trunks!  It was great seeing their reactions as they all started trickling in!

We are a competitive group so pool games are always a hit!

The tortilla challenge had us all laughing!  Who wouldn't want to slap each other (especially their spouse) with a tortilla until they spit out a mouthful of water!

Another amazing 4th of July in the books!  Just writing this post and re-living these days has me smiling from ear to ear!
