Halloween

Halloween isn't complete until pumpkins have been carved, and this year the kids each free handed their designs!  Harper of course did a volleyball, Jackson carved Trump with the upcoming election and Mason carved the Braves B and tomahawk . . . all 3 turned out so great!

Halloween night looked very different this year.  Mason had a playoff football game in Tulsa Halloween night.  I still can't believe they made 5th graders play on Halloween night but we tried to make the most of it!  We borrowed a friends big van and carpooled to Tulsa with friends!

We made Halloween jello "pump up shots" for the boys . . . which they loved!

and watched the boys pump up video on repeat during our drive . . .

Harper and Jackson stayed behind and hit the streets trick or treating with their friends!

Central Football

 So proud of Jackson for giving tackle football a try and earning a starting spot on the 7th grade varsity team.  Not only did J make varsity but he played almost every down offensively and defensively.  J played receiver, linebacker, safety, kicker and punter!  So fun watching him try something new!  J never ceases to amaze us . . . he works so hard, is so driven, so busy and never complains!   They only won 1 game this season but J still said it was fun and would do it again.  Nothing beats playing on a team with all your school buddies!

Jackson's "first" Buck

Last year I learned that traveling during youth rifle weekend was a huge no no,  so this year we all welcomed a fall break at home.  It has been an unseasonably hot fall so we hadn't seen many bucks on our deer cameras leading up to fall break.  That didn't stop Tyler and Jackson from relentlessly spending hrs in the deer stand patiently waiting for a buck to appear!  With 5 mins left to spare of youth rifle weekend a 8 pt buck walked out of the forest and J took the perfect shot!

Jackson and Mason got their first lesson skinning the deer and preparing it for processing.  I can't believe after doing all of that the boys still want to hunt but they do!  Both are official hunters now!  And they both have way stronger stomachs than me!

Mason is up next and is counting down until Thanksgiving week!  

Benson Boone Concert

Benson Boone was the PERFECT first concert for these pre teen/teen group of besties!  Us moms had the best night watching the girls live their concert dreams!  I went into the concert liking Benson Boone and left a HUGE fan!  He is one of the few people that sounds better live than recorded.  He was also super entertaining . . . he talked to the audience, did non-stop flips and was a blast to watch!  We have been listening to Benson Boone non-stop since the concert!
