We spent 2 incredible days unwinding from our Scottsdale baseball high exploring the beauty of Arizona! We took full advantage of having our car and toured all over! I sure love exploring new places with my crew!
First stop the Grand Canyon! The Grand Canyon was only 4 hours from Scottsdale so there was no way I was missing the opportunity to see the Grand Canyon for the first time with the kids! The beauty and vastness blew us away!
We could have stared at this view for hours/days!
We hiked the South Kaibab Trail to Ohh Ahh Point, which was approximately 1.0 mile each direction. Perfect hike for our afternoon visit. Ohh Ahh Point definitely gave us that reaction and it also had me constantly telling the kids to "back up"! The edges/drops had me a little on edge!
The trail was a pretty steep decline, which only meant it was just as steep going back up! The scenery seemed so unreal, almost like we were in a painting.
The colors of the Grand Canyon made it even more beautiful!
After wrapping up at the Grand Canyon we drove another 2 hrs north to Page, AZ. As we were driving into town we swung into Horseshoe Bend. Visiting Horseshoe Bend was on our list for the following day but we were passing right at sunset! It could not have been more perfect timing and definitely could not have been more beautiful! It was a pinch me kind of view!!! It was one of the prettiest places I have ever visited and it's going to be hard to top!
This might just be our Christmas card picture for 2024!!!
After an afternoon of driving the kids loved climbing the rocks at Horseshoe Bend!
The sunset was beautiful this evening! The pictures don't come close to doing it justice!!!
The next morning we started exploring at the Glen Canyon Dam Overlook . . . the kids loved seeing the Dam and especially loved talking about the "Dam" :)
We then made a quick stop at Lake Powell, which is the 2nd largest man made lake in the United States
We saved the best for last with a tour of Antelope Canyon! I can't thank a friend enough for posting pictures of Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon a few months before our trip which made us aware of these two fabulous places. Antelope Canyon is truly a DREAM! The pictures are beautiful but it's not even close to how amazing the canyon is in person! We each took hundreds of pictures! Everywhere we looked we wanted to snap a picture. Antelope Canyon is located on Navajo Indian land so you have to go on a tour with the Navajo tribe. It's crowded but they do an amazing job spreading out the tours so you can capture the most beautiful pictures without others in them. I could look at these pictures all day everyday and will continue to hope to visit again!!
we climbed a ladder into and out of the canyon . . .
I loved watching the kids snap pictures and seeing what caught their attention! We had the best time at dinner going through everyone's pictures and recapping our day!
The Canyon doesn't even look real! We were in awe the entire tour! It's completely breathtaking.
Our tour guides were incredible taking pictures. They could capture the light and angles perfectly creating the most beautiful pictures. . . like this sunset!
Page, AZ was the cutest town with the most beautiful places to visit! All their restaurants looks cute and fabulous. I wish we had a few more days to explore and enjoy this amazing town!
This was a trip of a lifetime!!! I'm still smiling from ear to ear thinking about our amazing week! Thankful for this week with the family, our Braves family which are also some of our best friends and my extended Winslow family! So much fun was had and endless memories were made!
