Kanakuk

Jackson and Harper went to their first Kanakuk Kampout a few weeks back and loved it!  Everyday they came home exhausted and full of so many exciting stories from their fun filled days.  They honestly had a blast.  Harper conquered so many of her fears (heights, getting up in front of people, being in a group where she knew no one, etc).  I was so proud of her accomplishments in just one week.  Jackson thrives at camp.  He is every counselors dream camper.  He works hard, listens, is a helper and always excited for every activity.  He was awarded the top camper of the week for the ages of 5-8. So so so proud of my little man.  He has actually won one of the top awards at every camp he has attended this summer . . . he has also won most improved and best throwing accuracy at baseball camp and best footwork at soccer camp.  He deserved them all because he works harder than any kid I know!  One proud mama!

Looking forward to years and years of Kanakuk fun and memories in our future!

I love that Harper is standing in the front row cheering J on as he received his medal!

Frontier City

Summer is almost over so we are trying to take advantage of our last weeks of schedule free fun.  Plus this past week has been in the 80s which is very rare for an Oklahoma August so we have actually be able to enjoy being outside!  We pass Frontier City on the highway everyday heading downtown and every time the kids are in the car they talk about how badly they want to go.  So after months and months of begging we finally caved and spent a day at Frontier City.  It was a super fun day and honestly I would be willing do it more often!

Our daredevil Jackson wanted to ride every thrill ride.  Unfortunately he was only tall enough for one roller coaster but it was still a doozy!  He was smiling ear to ear when he passed by!

Luckily we still have 11 years before these kiddos start driving . . .
We took the bigger kids on the roarin rapids and we got soaked!!!  But it sure was fun with lots of squeals!

We finished the day hitting up the waterpark!  I would go again and just do the waterpark!  SO MUCH FUN!
Sunday Funday was a huge success!  We need more schedule free fun days!

Happy Birthday America

We had the best week celebrating America and our freedom with friends and family.  We ended our week long celebrations with a fun filled day at Oak Tree.  Another day for the memory books!

We started the day with swimming and pool games!

This is totally my kind of game!  Just wish adults could have joined the fun!  These kiddos had to work hard for those donuts!

J totally blew me away in the coke dive!  He had to swim the length of the pool and then grab a coke at the bottom of the deep end (diving board deep end), all while competing against the big kids.  I was so excited when he surfaced with a coke in his hands!  This kid has never had a coke but he definitely earned this one!!!

His daddy joined the fun and earned himself a beer in the beer dive!  Like father, like son!

All cleaned up and back at Oak Tree for fireworks and fun

 God Bless America!!!!

Bella Terra 4th

My most favorite day of the year is celebrating the 4th with our neighborhood traditions.  Lets be honest, I have a few favorite days of the year and they all seem to involve neighborhood fun!  This year our 4th traditions grew with a neighborhood kids parade and pool party.  Of course we ended the evening with our annual block party and fireworks show.  Bigger and better than ever!  The fireworks lasted over 1.5 hrs and we added so many fun neighbors to the event!  Makes me smile just thinking about all the fun had!  Love these memories the kids will have of celebrating America with all their closest friends.  SO.MUCH.FUN!
