Its hard to believe Jackson and Harper blessed us with their
beautiful faces six short months ago.
These six months have definitely been trying
but also completely rewarding and satisfying at the same time.
We are stopped by strangers every time we are
out and about, and we are always asked:
How are you handling twins?
It
must be so difficult.
I can’t imagine
having twins, are you hanging in there? . . . and the list goes on.
We wouldn’t change it for the world.
Having twins is double the love, smiles,
giggles, memories and also double the crying, poopy diapers and sleepless
nights (we try to forget the latter).
This past month has by far been mine and Tyler’s favorite
month and I’m sure it will only get better.
Although I miss the snugly newborns I am completely in love with my
more interactive and playful babies.
Jackson
You continue to be the happiest baby. You are always smiling and laughing. We feed off each other laughing and by the
end we both end up hysterically laughing.
Sometimes you laugh so hard you get the hiccups. You also LOVE to talk and can go hours
straight babbling. You are the happiest
while playing on the floor. You love the
freedom to roll around and kick while playing with your toys. Every night we work on sitting but you are
too wild to focus on your balance. I
can’t keep you still long enough! You
get shy around people you aren’t familiar with but as soon as you warm up you
are back to smiling and chatting. We
love you so much sweet boy. Continue
being your wild and crazy self!
Weight: approx. 17 lbs (I will have official
weight and height at their 6 month check up on
July 12th), no wonder I can no longer carry both car seats at once!
Clothes: 6
months
Diapers: Size 2
Food: 5 ounces every 4
hours and 8 ounces before bed and then oatmeal in the morning with a fruit or
veggie in the evening. You usually
gobble down two jars in the evening. We
can’t shovel the food in your mouth quick enough. You absolutely HATE having your face cleaned
up after eating.
Likes: toys,
toys, toys, you are really starting to enjoy your jumperoo now that your feet reach the ground,
you love any toy you can chew, your paci has become a toy (you would rather
chew it then suck it)
Sleep: You are becoming quite a good
sleeper. You take 2 two hour naps and we usually have to wake you
up from your nap. At night you sleep
between 8-10 hours straight. We still swaddle you during naps and at night
since your arms are so wild and crazy. You might be swaddled until your 18!
Harper
Your personality is really starting to
blossom! And you are beginning to show
us your beautiful smile much more frequently.
We still have to work for it though!
You put a lot of thought into everything you do. You are still so observant of your
surroundings. You have accomplished so
many milestones this month. My baby girl
is growing up. You now sleep unswaddled
on your tummy, you have said dada many times, you are rolling over like crazy
and you are so close to sitting on your own plus you hold your own bottle!
We love you so much baby girl!
Weight: approx. 17 lbs (I will have official
weight and height at their 6 month check up on
July 12th)
Clothes: some
3-6 months but mostly 6 months
Diapers: size 2
Food: 6 ounces every 4
hours and 8 ounces before bed and then oatmeal in the morning with a fruit or
veggie in the evening. You like your
baby food but not near as much as your brother.
Peaches are definitely on your list of dislikes.
Likes: petting Maddie and Bailey, staring at your brother, your hands, all your toys, the jumperoo, standing at all times
Sleep: You are also becoming a relatively good sleeper. You sleep about the same amount as your brother. But almost every night you wake up either babbling or screaming around 1-2ish. After 2-3 mins you put yourself back to sleep. Although we don't go in your room we can hear you loud and clear!
Jackson and Harper had enough of the photo shoot!
